We booked this hotel after reading the wonderfull reviews here. The location is fairly good and well connected with buses. Betta was extreamely warm and welcoming and a perfect hostess. She made sure all of us, especially our kids, felt at home. The room given to us was amazing, probably the best room of our trip. With a very high ceiling and a huge bed, the room was really enormous, with a fridge, and a tea kettle in the room, we were literally at home. Breakfast was perfect, and Betta made sure we all got hot coffee, as she ran around doing all the work herself, since her assistant was sick. Thanks a lot Betta for a lovely stay in Florence.

We just came back from a wonderful weekend in Florence. One of the reasons we chose to stay at Residenza Betta was reading other people's reviews on what an amazing lady Betta is. And she did not disappoint. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, she recommended some great places to eat and drink and we just generally had a great time here. We were sad to leave!

Yes, Betta was pleasant (particularly upon our arrival) BUT I am amazed at how our experience doesn't match most of the other guest reviews. Our party occupied 2 rooms. The room that faced the street was noisy. The bathroom was very strange and odorous (toilet noisy and running almost constantly). Both rooms didn't have the ambiance of a b&b: sparsely appointed, walls in need of paint, breakfast simple/small selection - much better to stop at a 'bar' for espresso and cornetto. Betta let us know right off that she would prefer us to pay cash and she was also interested in collecting payment upon our arrival. We ended up paying at check out (generally my experience at hotels) but we decided to pay by credit card and Betta was not very gracious about it, complaining about added cost incurred when guest pay using credit cards. Also not centrally located. All in all, our experience felt more like we were staying in a hostel than a bed and breakfast.

I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights during May 7th till May 11, and i love every second of syated in Betta's B&B.
Because i stayed with my parents and brother, we booked for the family room, 2double bed and there was a big beautiful book case on the wall.
The bathroom was very clean, and i had nvr experinced with the hot water.
The location is also good, not so far from the St. Maria station.
But the best is? Surely its Betta herself! Her warm personalities and sense of homour made us feel very comfortable. And when it comes to the tips and trick how to spend your holiday in Firenze, Betta is the amswer of your prayer. She knows what, where, how and how much for any of your questions.
A very recommended place to stay!

My husband and I spent two nights at Residenza Betta in late April, 2013. The accommodations were clean and comfortable plus a lovely breakfast was provided each morning.

Betta is a warm, engaging person and wants to ensure that each guest is welcome.

Before leaving for Rome we discovered that our accommodations there had been cancelled. Betta graciously spent time locating and booking us into an alternate hotel, assistance that was very much appreciated.

If we ever return to Florence we would certainly stay at this B & B.

Overview~
Fantastic B&B in Firenze, rooms were clean and comfortable without being spectacular, bathrooms were spotless except that the chemical toilet made noises for a short time after using the bathroom which didn't really bother me but I can see how some people might find it annoying. The location whilst relatively close is about a 15~20 minute walk to the Duomo, if you are exploring Florence by foot and need to take a load off for a while, it may be just a little too far for some people.

Rooms~
I saw two rooms and both were ok, furniture was a little dated but everything worked and the beds were comfortable. Free wifi and sky are a welcome bonus. There are a couple of rooms with balconies, ask if those are available.

Staff~
Betta is a great host and gave me some great tips on seeing Florence, she also went out of her way to find me a night in another hotel when her's was full. You can't really fault that kind of service. I also agree with another reviewer that it can be a little uncomfortable around the other younger staff members at times.

Food~
Breakfast was adequate for the price; a typical mix of meat, cold cuts, toast, coffee and pastries. I recommend having a light breakfast and then after a few hours exploring, find yourself a good 'bar' for an espresso and cornetto con crema . How very Italian.

Overall~
Very good value and I enjoyed my stay.

One of the best B&B in Firenze, good location, close to the train station and city center. Good host, clean rooms, continental breakfast.
Overall a good choise for bussines trips and/or short stay. Highly recommended for people interested in visiting the city with cheap accommodation.

Room Tip: Room with balcony for smokers!
