My wife and I recently stayed at il salviatino for two nights. I consider this villa the most luxurious and unique hotel we have ever stayed. The room was exquisitely decorated, the view of the Dome and the city of Florence from our room, breathtaking, and the food a gastronomic delight. A Mercedes shuttle takes you to the city and runs every hour. Your assigned Ambassador eagerly awaits to assist you with your every desire. Our goal staying at il salviatino was discretion and to be pampered beyond our wildest dreams and this villa went way above our already high expectation. Thank you il salviatino and we will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Advise the staff of your expectations and let them assist you on your room choice. You will not be...

My husband and I stayed in the best room: the Affresco Room. When we stepped inside this Italian villa, we thought the wooden library full of any kind of book you'd want, and brown leather sofas, were an invitation to spend our weekend lounging around and reading...until we entered our room! Gazing up at the frescoed ceiling (which is visible even from the bathtub), we were instantly transported into the most romantic setting for our anniversary. The atmosphere of relaxation was emphasized by the exquisite detail of Phalenopsis orchids in silver vases, silver candlesticks, scented stick bouquets placed in the room and bathroom (and in each corridor and hall of the hotel), and fresh fruit upon arrival. The room was elegantly furnished with a leather Chesterfield sofa, and a modern Mirror-TV, with the possibility of choosing any type of musical background (how relaxing to wake up listening to Classical music in that very elegant European setting), plus wifi connection for our iPad. The bathroom had a real antique stone sarcophagus as a bathtub, as well as a very modern shower, both with views to the room. The bathroom was very spatious, with an English-style hand basin, with 4 wooden doors opening out into the room. The room's lighting is subdued, and you can control each of the lights from the 2 remote controls you can place near the sofa or bed. The "á la cárte" breakfast included was served in the hotel's restaurant, also full of details: silver bread baskets and flower vases, as well as delicious entrées to anything you ordered (from crépes with wild berries, waffles or omelets, to Tuscan-style bread and a variety of prosciutto and cheese). We had our anniversary dinner at this restaurant, whose Chef has won a Michelin star, and again I have to point out the excellent service, the exquisite details (the chef's appetizers served as a complimentary detail to customers were scrumptuous)! The restaurant's decoration is subdued and elegant, and the hotel also has a small spa and pool (we didn't use them though).Overall the service given by all the hotel's staff was extremely polite, helpful (they researched restaurants where I could eat my special gluten-free food and made bookings, and printed out map routes to get to Sienna). After visiting Sienna, we got there one night quite late, and near midnight, we wanted to drink Amaretto. Well, the hotel 'ambassador' found it for us and we were able to take it to our room. The terrace in front of the bar also has white Chesterfield sofas with views over the landscaped garden, and you can even see Florence's Duomo from this terrace. We stayed 2 days, and I honestly suggest couples looking for a romantic place for a honeymoon or anniversary to stay at this hotel...you won't even want to go see the nearby sites for the first 2 days!

Salviatino is a gorgeous experience. Stayed there 2 times with my wife and spent an unforgettable time. It is located in an amazing park where there is also the swimming pool and the spa. We arrived in the late afternoon and have been offered an aperitivo in the terrace with a stunning view of Florence. At the same terrace we enjoyed a great breakfast a la carte. all the very professional people let us feel like being home with an elegant and magical atmosphere. we had 2 different rooms and each of them was simply unbeatable. each night the room has been prepared with candles and special light. definitely a place where we would like to go back.

With my wife we just remembered our trip florence and decider to' write a review about this romantic place. Eventhough it was novembre the weather created a more fabulous ambiance. The garden was magica, the villa was magical, and the aromAs were incredible. I highly reconmend this hotel. The restaurant was also at the top level of the hotel. Chef Carmine calo with his refined cuisine completes the experience.

While in Florence recently, I spent a day at Il Salviatino, and it was a highlight of my trip! I had been to the villa shortly after it opened a couple of years ago, and it was even better this time than I had remembered - the "service ambassadors" were charming and delivered flawless service, the villa and grounds looked immaculate and the views over Florence from the restaurant at lunchtime were amazing! Il Salviatino is a rare gem, and my only complaint is that I couldn't spend more time there. I'll be back again!

tgis is the first time i write a review, but our stay was so good that i feel i need to let other people know.apart from the fact that the villa is splendid and the views are breathtaking, and the food is great i want particularly point out the kindness and availability of the ambassadors and of all the staff.they have been phantastic and they made our two days there unforgettable.
it was expensive for our standards but i am happy we gave ourselves this treat.one thing should be corrected is the very dusty road that goes up to the villa through the marvellous park.

Room Tip: ask for one of the rooms facing the city(39).we were shown the top suite and while we could not affo...
