Was there for 3 days. Maria welcomed me and was phenomenal and spoke great English. Guido on the other hand did not, but was awesome as well, making fresh coffee and pastries every morning with a welcome! The only issue I did have was I saw pictures of beautiful rooms with big bed. I got the "closet" sized room with single bed that I barely fit in. No photo of this room is out there so make sure about this before you go. They should put a photo up for their "single" room because I saw the others and they were real nice. Other than that I was there to see Florence so I made due with small bed and room. Maria and Guido may have been the nicest people I met in all of italy!

We stayed in the 1 BR apartment for 4 nights and loved it. Location, location, location! And the apartment itself was wonderful too. We would stay again here in a heartbeat. Maria and Guido were excellent hosts and Maria's English was excellent. Upon arriving in Rome, we got concise directions from Maria, who monitored our progress hourly. She arranged to meet us at the square along with someone to park our car at 11 pm, and later she arranged for it to be returned to the same place for our departure. The apartment itself was extremely clean and had unbelievable views of the Duomo. There was a lovely sitting area at the entrance, then a walk up into a multi level bedroom/kitchen/bathroom/balcony arrangement. In the morning, Maria gave us a map and circled many of the sights she thought we would like to see, creating a custom tour for us on the spot. She also pointed us to several practical places like eateries, grocery stores, etc. We particularly liked the marketplace to gather fresh fruits for our breakfast. Once leaving the apartment, it was only one short block to the impressive Duomo. On rainy days, we were able to borrow umbrellas from Guido and Maria whol live right across the hall. Our apartment was very well equipped and the clothes washing machine was a Godsend.
The only surprise we had were the mosquitos that came through the open windows at night. (In February no less!) This was easily solved by shutting the windows. The apartment would benefit from a new mattress and box springs on the king sized bed. However, these are mere quibbles; we would happily stay there again.

Had the luxury to enjoy a weekend stay at Al Duomo B&B. The location is very central and allows easy walkable access to the whole city. Maria and Guido welcomed us upon our arrival and were quick to make us feel at home familar with different sites and restaurants around Florence. The room was very comfortable and clean and had all the amenities needed for a stay and breakfast by Guido every morning was the perfect start to the day. Overall, a very authentic and relaxing stay and we will definately be staying here on our next trip to Florence!

We stayed at the Signoria suite for 2 nights, the appartment was really nice, in a medieval tower, with a side view onto the piazza della signoria, useless to say, location is perfect. Only downside is, you don't get Guido's coffee every morning!

We stayed at the DUOMO 4 nights and it was a great experience. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Guido makes and serve breakfast himself in the morning. The room was big and tastefully decorated, we had a view of the Duomo, at night there was a violonist playing on the street just below our window it was fabulous. The owners have arranged for parking so no worry about the car. The location is perfect it is 5 minutes walk to the Academia and Uffizi Gallery and Vecchio bridge. 2 minutes from a shopping pedestrian street. Guido and Maria recommended good restaurants

Room Tip: ask for the room with a view of the Duomo

We stayed at the Al Duomo B&B for 4 days. We found the place from the google map and checked their website. the website is very user friendly and provides all the details you need to know about the B&B.We booked directly through their website. On arrival Guido and Maria Gioconda are there to meet you and show you the rooms. We were 3 and we stayed in a triple room – the room was very pretty, with its private bath, an a/c system, a tv and wireless internet. Us being girls we had lots of stuff but the room was very spacious. Guido and Maria Gioconda gave us lots of directions on where to visit, best restaurants and eateries, excursions. Breakfast was very nice – we had juice, yoghurts, and snacks to choose from. Then Guido would prepare us a cappuccino and a croissant – all very delicious. Definitely a B&B I would return to and recommend to friends – the rooms were great and the hosts were great. Grazie mille Maria Gioconda e Guido – era una bellissimo vacanze grazie a voi!
