My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Its is in a really good location right next to the Duomo and about a ten minute walk from the main train station. The owners are very friendly and helpful, Mariagioconda spoke very good English and gave us a map detailing the best sights in Florence and good places to eat! My Husband and I would definitely recommend I'Mangiriano's the food was fantastic, particularly the antipasti board of meats and cheeses and the pasta was divine! We traveled to a lot of places in Italy and this restaurant was by far our favorite and good value for money!
The rooms were spacious and clean, the only downside was that there was no facilities to iron your clothes so you end up looking a bit disheveled and the shower was very small. However, we were both really happy with the service that we received, would recommend this to anyone staying in Florence.

Beautiful rooms, the perfect location and spotless service from Guido and Maria.
In the absolute centre of Flonrence everything was but a short walk away.
Our room was clean, fresh and the view over the Dome was lovely.
We're already planning on going back, and when we do - Al Duomo is going to be our first choice of hotel!

We had problems with the air conditioning and the hostess Mariagianconda seemed less than interested in trying to have it fixed. They did bring in repairmen the second day, but it still didn't work and this led to quite a fuss since she felt like she had pretty much fulfilled her responsibilities by unsuccessfully trying to have it fixed. Finally, Guido stepped in and provided a solution (and air conditioning -- it was hot in late June) and offered for us to stay for free. We declined and paid, accepting a small discount on the room. Although this place was very convenient and early on the hostess was very gracious, I would not recommend this simply because I was unhappy with the hostess's attitude and lack of interest in providing appropriate customer service. I will note that Guido did provide a wonderful breakfast.

It has a fantastic location right by il Duomo which is by the main square. The bedroom was surprisingly large considering that it is just a B&B and it was immaculate.

Unfortunately breakfast was in the tiny and very hot kitchen and terribly limited. So much so that we decided to miss it the second morning.

On our second day we came back at 1.20pm as we were very hot and tired and we just wanted a 'siesta' to cool down. The room was not made and instead of sorting it out as soon as they could they told us that it would take another hour for it to be ready (the cleaners where in the house, so we didn't quite understand their reaction). So we were left with no siesta and very poor customer service and no access to the room.

The quality of the mattress was very hard and the sofa bed was very noisy whenever there was movement.

The light in the toilet kept tripping out which became very inconvenient, especially when you where having a shower.

Will I recommend it? No

In reference to the comment of the guest we must specify that:
Thank you for complmenti received but for the lack of siesta we must point out that the room was ready at 13.30 and the host wanted to noon. Unfortunately we can not first also in respect of those leaving.
The breakfast, the kitchen, we must remember that at that time Florence was traveling about 40 degrees in the shade.
We can be disappointed but we understand that the lady lived a critical time staff, because they stay in 4 people in a room (although large) is lacking the necessary privacy when we're on vacation with your partner.
The gracious host is advisable to book two rooms, one for them, one for children and adults definitely all also changes the mood.

Great hospitality by the owners, great location! The Duomo and those brands like Gucci, MiuMiu are right at the door step! 10mins from the SMN Stazione, and it is within walking distance to everything! Clean room thou toilet is a lil tiny I would say, but its not too much of a problem. Totally enjoyed my 4 nights stay there!
