“Nice spot to stay in Florence”
Reviewed September 12, 2013 via mobile

This is a nice little place to stay, but note its not a real B&B. we did get a coupon for a very nice breakfast in a restaurant nearby, but for extra nights we would have had to pay.

The room we stayed in (amaranto) was very nice, clean, with a good air conditioner and a modern bathroom. It was also very quiet.

Marco is a great host and helped us get oriented, he had tourist maps as well.

The location is about a 20 minute walk to the train station. We took the C2 bus to get there but just walked to the train station to leave, it's much easier. It is right on the edge of the tourist area and connects to an area where locals hang out along with younger tourists. We were out in the area as late as 11:00 and never had any trouble, but I wouldn't want to be out much later then that. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo, and from there you can hit up the great shopping, museums, tourist sites and restaurants (see my other reviews for two great restaurants in Florence).

We stayed here for two nights in August 2013 and have absolutely no complaints. It's a 10-15 minutes walk from both train stations and within 10 minutes of all the big attractions in the city.

The rooms are modern and clean and the owner, Marco, is a nice guy contacted us for our arrival time and was available for advice on how to get around the city.

Although we didn't book breakfast, tea/coffee and buscuits were available and for those of you who use it, the wifi was excellent.

Would definitely stay here again and the price was excellent given it was August we booked.

Have been meaning to review our stay for a while. Booked an improptu trip to Florence with my partner in June, so booked this place quite last minute after seeing the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. When we arrived in Florence we arrived at the address we were given and could not find it for the life of us! It is almost too well hidden and is not clearly signposted at all, there is just a small plaque next to the door, maybe we expected something more grand. It is in a building which houses apartments and another boutique hotel, which IS well signposted.

The owner Marco was really welcoming when we arrived and showed us to our room, it was very clean and modern with a huge bed! The bathroom was also clean and modern with a good shower, the toilet made weird noises at night though. The best thing about the room was the air conditioning was really strong and easy to use, a neccessity in the Tuscan heat!
I would say the downside of the room was the lack of storage space, we only had a wardrobe and a small shelf to put our clothes and belongings in, and the wardrobe is VERY small for two people.

As I said in the title the location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and the Uffizi gallery, it is almost in the middle of all the major tourist destinations so we walked everywhere during our trip. It is also close to several shops and bars and there is a chemist across the street. What lets BluNotte down is the fact it is advertised as a B&B and it isn't, a few biscuits and vending machine coffee is not a breakfast in my book, and there were a few niggles like we were told we could use the coffee facilities anytime when infact it is only 9pm til 2pm. And the kitchen area is quite small so it is quite awkward if a lot of people arrive for morning coffee at the same time.

Overall our stay was good I just dont think it can call itself a B&B, we would reccomend for the location but will probably not visit again when we are next in Florence.

Only a 5 min walk to the Duomo, .99eu store across the street, pharmacy across the street and a grocery store is only a 2 min walk and the wash/dry was about 5 min. The rooms were adequate for what u need- a good nights rest in a very clean room. Very quiet. Small refrigerator (like college dorm size) in the room. Comfortable bed and maid service daily. Marco was extremely helpful w anything we needed. Will b back for sure.

Pros: location close to all the tourist sites in Florence, a 12€ cab ride or a 20min moderate paced walk through the busy streets of Venice there is also a bus option but we didn't try that. Rooms a clean, decent size, comfortable, the service from reception is excellent and he does everything to make your stay in Florence a good one. At night you feel safe walking around very busy area and as a young couple had no problems coming home after dinner around duomo. Very honest front desk man and the free coffee machine is a nice touch. A Conrad supermarket is right across the road and the rooms have a small fridge to store food.
Cons: towel service wasn't changed daily and the bed is made but the sheets are not changed we would rather just leave the bed unmade or change the sheets all together. The room cleaning wasn't the best once checked in but overall no biggie.
Overall very happy and would recommend to anyone. Great stay!

Such a great stay! We were in Florence for 3 nights. We checked into BluNotte at around 1030pm which was not a problem-we just emailed Marco before that it was going to be late and he was so accommodating! Marco was so helpful with directing us and really made the stay so enjoyable. The rooms were also so clean and comfortable! We stayed in the room across the hall from the main B&B area and it was so nice-felt like a hotel! We had more than enough room for the 3 of us. Walking distance from many main sites and about a 10 minute taxi from the Santa Maria Novella train station. There was air-conditioning, full kitchen, comfortable beds, and a nice size private bathroom. We were thrilled with our stay and could not believe how great it was and for such a good price!

The apartment is well-located, within 10-15 mins walk from the major museums, the Duomo, shops and restaurants, and around a 25 min walk to the Santa Maria Novella train station. The apartment itself was clean and spacious with lounge furniture etc and adequate bathroom facilities, however we were instructed not to use the stove in the kitchen and as such, could not cook any meals (which was a main factor in selecting this apartment). There was also no kettle in the apartment, so boiling water was only available between 9am and 2pm, when the coffee machines were in operation in the hotel common area. Also, a hotel/apartments with B&B in the title should at least have breakfast as an option.
