I was staying just a short walk away from Gusta Pizza and had been told by a family member that it was the best pizza. It was my first and last dinner while in Italy. Great value! Friendly staff that remembered me after many visits on my two week visit.
Each pizza can feed one or two people. The Margarita pizza is 5 euro and prices increase to 8 euro. My favorites were the spinach and ricotta specialty pizza (Tuesday and Wednesday only) and the spicy salami (don't remember the number). Remember to get olive oil, available at the counter, to dip your crust in. A glass of house wine is 2 euro. Water is 1 euro a bottle for natural or fizzy.
This is a must stop for a visit to Florence. The space is small. They will try and fit you into tables when the restaurant is busy. They try to fit you in about the time your pizza is ready. There can be long lines, but it's worth it. You can also take it to go and eat it out on the Piazza Santo Spirito, which is close by.
