Based on the recommendation of our Hotel (Alessandra) we found our way to Zio Gigi's restaurant. We used the offline map to find it, but it's in an alleyway not quite on the main street the offline map showed.
We did not have reservations but were able to get a good seat at 7;30 pm. By 9pm, it was packed. Our wait staff were awesome, helping us with the menu, wine and John the singing waiter was a blast. He bursts out into opera and american love songs throughout the night.
We had an awesome pasta with truffels and the famous Florentine steak along with a veal chop. Everything was cooked perfectly and we had a night of entertainment with our mean.
By all means, go to Zio Gigi!
