“Chianti and bistecca alla fiorentina!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

Unforgettable experience in Florence!! Found this restaurant by accident. It was our of this world. We ordered a bottle of the house chianti and shared the famous bistecca alla fiorentina which Florence is know for. I can still taste it! I never had a steak like that before(so rare) but it is worth the adventure your palette embarks on when enjoying the native dish in Florence. The cannelini side dish was so simple yet so delicious I still try to prepare a similar side for my hubby at home thanks to this place. We also shared a gnocchi side dish with a Gorgonzola cream sauce. Yum- heavenly!! . The service was delightful our waitress was very sweet. Don't miss this gem when visiting Florence!!

“Amazing Food - highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

In our 2 night visit to Florence we had food at this restaurant 3 times as the quality was out of this world, excellent quality of food, relaxed atmoshpere, friendly and helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble. I have a cheese allergy and the chef customised a dish for me so I could experence it - thank you so much for the amazing food.
Recommended to book if you want to go for dinner as they do get busy......which is not suprising..

“Ate here twice in two days”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

We stumbled into this little restaurant randomly while walking the streets of Florence, and we are so glad we found it. This was our favorite restaurant while we were in Florence! The food was very rustic and delicious. The portions are huge! The atmosphere of the place is great. The service was great as well. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

“Yum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

Our hotel recommended this lively little osteria to us and it was a wonderful end to a long day of traveling. We did not book, but others were turned away so it might be wise. The food and wine were delicious and perfectly cooked. We had Fava beans for starter, cacciatore and stew for mains and tiramisu for dessert. We had a mid-priced chianti recommended by the staff, which was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating despite being very busy. The table of women next to us loved it so much they booked a table for the next night begore leaving. With a great atmosphere and decor, we would highly recommend Pepo to anyone travelling in Florence.
