“Fresh Seafood, Great Pizza, Local”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

This is a great place to order fresh seafood or enjoy a brick oven pizza. . The staff mostly speak Italian but will understand some English. A little off the beaten path but an authentic Neapolitan restaurant with a great local vibe. I consider it a must try when visiting Florence.

“Fine Pizzeria, not touristic, perhaps the best pizza we found in town.”
Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

Authentic, busy pizzeria, absent of tourists in this local part of town. Napoli football scarf over the pizza kitchen a good sign, we all enjoyed the meal and tasted 6 different pizzas. Service was slow as it got busier, always annoying to wait for coffee when it seems so quick to do! Relatively expensive €8-€12 price points.
Recommended overall.

“Best pizza in Florence”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

If not anything else, the pizza is divine..But moreover any dish I tried so far was also amazing from the quality of burrata to the pasta dishes and shellfish/seafood....
But above all is the pizza, tried many places in Italy, but by far this was my favorite....Make sure you book before you go, especially on Fri-Sat evenings as the place gets packed by the Florentines:)

“Enjoyable experience”
Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

I have often come to this restaurant during my yearly stays in Florence. I have just arrived to Florence after a long trip from the other side of the Atlantic. It is Saturday. It was 8:30 when I began my search for a restaurant. I began walking along the Via Borgo San Frediano in the Oltrarno. All places were packed as it happens on a Sarurday evening. I passed the Gate San Frediano where the street becomes Via Pisana. The restaurant is located about 150 meters to the North. It was also packed but I found a nice table. Both the reception waiter and the one who was assigned to my table were very cordial and effective.
The seafood selection is quite good here so I went for a mixed fried of shrimp and calamari which followed a melanzana parmigiana (cheese eggplant) complemented by two glasses of white wine and a grappa. The whole topped by an Americano. For the first culinary of Florence this year...great. I will return.
The place is well known for its Pizzas and variety of Grappas.
The secret of its success: constancy and the involvement of a whole family: sons, daughters, mama, uncle, you name it...
