I have been here many times, ordered many different things and was never disappointed.
My favorites: Tuna and Risotto
Staff is very friendly
It's a little bit outside the centre, you need to know the way, it's a quiet street.
Not the most authentic interior but the food compensates all.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our tour operator and we are so thankful that she did. In fact she actually booked it for us as we were unable to do so on the internet. The food was delicious, the wait staff were very attentive and switched on - with none of the negatives I had read about. The wine list was generous and very affordable. In fact one of the best resturants during our whole 3 weeks in Italy. Definitely book ahead if you can. It get packed with locals.

Excellent place to eat lunch no matter which dish you may try, very nice and friendly service, make sure to try the panna cotta!

If you're going there in the evening, reserve beforehand.

We were recommended this restaurant a little off the tourist tract in San Frediano near Piazza Santo Spirito by our hosts at Riva Lofts and were not disappointed. It is, we were told, family run new-generation trattoria that adds a contemporary touch to traditional cuisine. My partner began with four warm starters (tasters) which I would have envied but for my linguine with clams and ginger. Both choices were just excellent. As a main course we shared Fried seafood in that wonderful so light Tuscan batter. The wine list provided a delicious Pinot Grigio. Service was effortless and friendly. A simple, quality meal in a great atmosphere with mostly locals – just what we wanted on our first evening in Florence.

Arrived without reaervations at 21:15 and tables were just freeeing up from earlier sittings. The family members that run the restaurant are young and dynamic. After a 15 min eait we were seated in the rather boisterous inner room. Sound levels can get high depending on guests moods an wine intake amounts. Starte with Crostini Toscani and the Antipasto della Casa. Both recomended with genuine tastes, not overly decorated tastes. Just like I would expect my mother to make the Crostini. The Antipasto della Casa, an assortment, contains a few samples which are quite delicate and more than just home cooking style. Wine by the glass propositions are well chiaen and reasonably priced at Eur4 per glass. Had filet mignion with patè and res wine sauce. Quite tasty. The beef tagliata noting special. Meat a bit tough. Good place to go with friends for good wine and decent food. Not a gastronomic experience.
