I received many recommendations for this restaurant and I believe my expectations were too high. Service very slow, but gracious and helpful once you got their attention. Restaurant was also extremely hot and it wasn't a particularly hot night
Appetizers - tried a gorgonzola cake and it was disappointing.
I'd recommend a basic meat and cheese plate which looked great

The pastas were both excellent: the pear a must have if you come to the restaurant. The wine list was also pretty decent.

Iceman bottom line: not "all that" but the pasta dishes were worth the wait and good enough to earn a very good rating.

Really don't know where to start! This was by far the best meal we had during our stay in Florence and Rome. We had the cold cuts platter to share, as well as the meats there were four different homemade pates, all delicious. We both had pasta dishes for main course; the pasta was melt in the mouth but still remaining al dente...how they managed it I don't know. The guy in charge was a fantastic host and although it was very busy he still had time to chat and advise on wines. We chose a Montepulciano, which was excellent. They turned the tables over twice while we were there and if we hadn't have made a reservation we would have had to wait for a table. So please do make a booking, you won't regret it.

Delicious. I probably had my best meal in Florence here. The rabbit was extraordinary. The Wild Boar Prosciutto was delicious. The service was excellent; my waiter knew the food, and new a great local beer that matched perfectly. Highly recommended

We recently visited Florence for the first time and this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It was so delicious! Easily our favorite meal from two weeks in Rome, Tuscany, and Venice. We can't wait to go back.
