The menu at the Trattoria Trebbio does not run to more than 2 pages, but the food is all freshly made and very tasty - just the way it should be in a family-run restaurant, where mama and the chef both watch you eat to make sure you're enjoying the food. The house wines are also well chosen, and can be had by the glass. Another thing I liked about the Trebbio is that as a guest you are not pressured into ordering more than you can eat: I had one of the best-tasting and freshest salads of my life instead of a pasta course. The decor is somewhat traditional, but the menu is original and local. This is not a pizza-and-pasta tourist restaurant. Go there if you want to try Florentine food! Buon appetito.
