The menu at the Trattoria Trebbio does not run to more than 2 pages, but the food is all freshly made and very tasty - just the way it should be in a family-run restaurant, where mama and the chef both watch you eat to make sure you're enjoying the food. The house wines are also well chosen, and can be had by the glass. Another thing I liked about the Trebbio is that as a guest you are not pressured into ordering more than you can eat: I had one of the best-tasting and freshest salads of my life instead of a pasta course. The decor is somewhat traditional, but the menu is original and local. This is not a pizza-and-pasta tourist restaurant. Go there if you want to try Florentine food! Buon appetito.

We went on a reccommendation from our hotel. Easy to find in the back streets. Lovely food, great wine menu. We sat outside and had a very helpful, friendly waiter. A great experience of authentic Tuscan food.

This is my second visit to the place in 18 months, as it is an authentic Italian restaurant. We booked a table as it can be busy and you can end in the downstairs room. The food is great if you enjoy meal like pesto pasta "al dente" or the house made panna cotta but do not come for meat ball pasta or alfredo pasta the American way. The service is decent but a little bit chaotic as you will see in most places in Italy, just take the lead and catch the waiter when you need it. We were very satisfied and paid 110 euros for a 3 courses meal and 4 people. E un molto bueno ristorante!

Recommended by our hotel owner, who also booked it for us. Not exactly effusive service but polite. Food was very good as was the house wine. Lemon tart to die for.....

Husband and I ate dinner here last night and it was delicious! For our primi: I had the spinach crepes (excellent) and husband had the ravioli with Gorgonzola (also very good). Husband's secondi was better than mine. He had the pork with balsamic drizzle and it was sinfully good. I had a tasty grilled chicken with a vegetable ragú side. Good, but I'll oder the pork next time. Husband's lemon tart was very good and I had the very light, yummy contucci (almond biscotti with dessert wine for dipping). We shared a bottle of the house-label chianti, which was a light, tasty wine. All-in-all a wonderful dinner and experience. Expect tonight's dinner to be the same.
