delightful little family run tuscan-style restaurant serving delicious food in a cozy authentic atmosphere. Bring your appetite and order the Floretine steak, not to be missed. Everything is fresh and the house wine is good also, deserts made in house too.

Acquacotta was recommended by our hotel and one of the best meals we had during our time in Italy. We made reservations (which are recommended) for another night during our stay after out first meal. It is a family ran restaurant and you can taste the love and the passion in the food, even the side of roasted potatoes are well prepared. We had the steak, pastas and fish; all exquistely prepared. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is casual. We're so glad we found this place.

Arrived late with the family… the service was flustered, the place was packed, but couldn't have been more accommodating. Once we had relaxed into the meal time just seemed to fly so commenting on any pace of service would be irrelevant. The atmosphere was great and we really got the feeling that we were eating with the Florentines. The menu was traditional and each of the dishes we were recommended faultless. A very down to earth, friendly and enjoyable evening.

Having review this place before, I feel compelled to add this review if only for the extraordinary value one can get during a lunch time visit.

The quality of the food and service has been well documented many times.
These aspects are further justified by the possibility to pay just Euro12.50 for two courses (starter and primo or primo and secondo), with water, a half litre of wine, bread and cover charge. With two coffees (extra at 1.50eu each) the bill came to 28eu. Unbelievable value.
This diner had the primo of pasta with lamb ragu; my compmanion had the minestra with farro and rosemary. We both chose a secondo: I the turkey with chunky homemade chips (French fries); my companion the chicken with chips. All very fresh and quite delicious.

All freshly cooked and abundant enough for a midday meal. This inclusive menu offers three or four options per course in contrast to the regular a la carte options.

We speculated that one could easily pay an equivalent amount, or more, should one have a beer and a sandwich at the terrace table of a tourist hotspot bar in the centre, not more than 10' away from where we were.

The acquacotta is a signature dish, as well as the pidgeon, florence steak. Pleasant stay and time. Better booo for dinner.
