Our guide Alessandro did a great job he is passionate about food and took us only to the classic markets producing food for generations. It really gave us an appreciation for a week of dining around.

Don't hesitate just book! We spent this morning walking around the amazing city of Florence with a born local learning about and tasting some of its incredible treats! Local specialties including Schiacciata, Sfoglia, Pecorino, Prosciutto and Chianti - a full inside into the making of olive oil and balsamic vinigar in the region as well as wine tasting. This tour will not disappoint! Do it as soon as you arrive in Florance and you will learn where the best stuff is as we'll as how to aviod the tourist traps. A really enjoyable day!!!!

This is the second time I've done this tour. It was excellent both times. The guide, Carin, was super friendly and helpful (even made us dinner reservations), passionate about food and knowledgeable. Will do it every time I'm in tuscany.

This food tour was the best thing we did in Florence. Our entire group was only 8 people which made the tour very personal.
Alessandro was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job. He is a local from one of the towns surrounding Florence, but completely fluent in english. He has great knowledge of the culture, area, food, and anecdotes that make the 4.5 hour tour seem like no time at all.
This tour was jam packed with tastings and information. I can't think of one type of food that was missing (salami, prosciutto, breads, pastry, cocoli, biscotti, seafood, olive oils/balsamic vinegars, wine, and gelato).
Do this food tour as soon as possible on your visit to Florence. The names of the places you visit as well as the pamphlet they give you at the end of the tour with restaurant recommendations is extremely valuable. The worst thing about traveling is getting caught at some tourist trap restaurant and wasting 50-75 euro for two people.
I promise, if even 10% of the reason you came to Florence/Italy was for the food, this is worth the 4.5 hours and every penny. Don't miss out!

This was a fantastic food tour! I can not recommend this tour enough! Martina was our guide. Just close your eyes and choose this food tour of Florence and you will not be disappointed. The balsamic tasting was enough to have made my trip to Florence :)

This tour was comprehensively planned and executed - kudos to "Taste Florence"

Too bad we took this tour on our last day in Florence, but next time I am taking this tour on the first day and then going back to all those wonderful places.
