This is the true global fusion of all admirers of italian food, from queen's to peasant's and from East to West / North to South. Though the restaurant is small, and equally are the tables, the atmosphere is amazing. The food is divine regardless what one choose. Of course one should order the "bistecca fiorentina". The staff and service are just great and unpretentious. And yes you may have to wait a while for lunch but it is absolutely worthwhile.

We are a family of 4 and visited at lunch. on bench with other tourists which was fine. no menu to read at table only handwritten pinned to kitchen window with some english translations. we each chose different options and were all delighted. veal chop was particularly good! Waitress spoke very good english and we had no issues with service. fun, mad place with great food!

Though this is somewhat of a rustic place (and I agree with the comments made by a number of other reviewers - the staff does seem happier to serve locals than tourists), it was still a great experience for us. When we arrived the restaurant was completely full. They wrote down our names and told us to expect a 50 minute wait (you can't make reservations). The menu is in Italian, if you don't know what any of the dishes are you may have a hard time. We only recognized a few of the dishes, but we decided to simply try a number of things, ask our waiter to bring over his favourite dish, and hope for the best. The ribolita and the papa al pomodoro were both excellent, some of the best we've tried (if you like rustic flavours). The ravioli were quite good too, the ossobuco was tender and the bistecca fiorentina was flavourful and very good. All in all, we had a delicious meal, paid a very reasonable sum (ribolita + ossobuco + water + french fries, for example = 19 euro), and came out satisfied.

Since we arrived at the place the waiters did not pay any attention to anyone except Italians. They sat us down in a table and left us there. No care for explanation, no bread, no nothing. When italians would come in, they would bring their bread, get their order and talk to them.
If you are a tourist and want to be respected as someone from another country, do not pick this place. If they do not respect us, they do not need us. Don't go.

If you do not care about being disrespected for not being italian, the food is ok.

Since I can understand italian, I even saw the waiters talking to each other, ignoring the situation in the table of the foreigners.

We happily waited 40 mins for table due to the excellent reviews. When we got in we were all packed in like sardines. Not exactly relaxing. Feel like while this must have once been amazing, its now a tourist trap. Food was good, not great. Price was reasonable. Service was pretty poor due to how busy staff are. Not really the experience we anticipated
