“Horrible experience”
Reviewed July 15, 2010

We were looking for a place to watch the football game Germany vs. Serbia and found this pub/restaurant/bar which was empty whenever we got there. We sat down and ordered several drinks and snacks during watching the game. Whenever we went to pay the waiter charged us 5 Euros per Person as cover charge and in his opinion we hadn't eaten anything. After a long discussion we made clear that we had had several snacks and he decided he would only charge two of us with 5 Euros since they hadn't eaten anything and the rest with 2.50 each. Not that anybody had ever told us nor that the menu had shown it. After a rather long discussion the waiter tried to put two drinks on our bill that we hadn't had. 10 more minutes discussion before we could go. I would never recommend this restaurant/pub/bar to anyone who wants a relaxing time. The owner of the restaurant kept walking around like a hungry cat monitoring what each of us was drinking and eating. Horrible experience.

“A special dinner in Florence”
Reviewed June 28, 2010

Ohhh I was surprised when i arrived in this restaurant, 5 television full HD.
We watched the match between Argentina-Mexico with excellent food and a very beautiful view of the match.
The restaurant was full and there were a lot of beautifull girls.
Therre was good music and we didn't spend a lot of money.

P.s. There is a free station of WI-FI

“A huge disappointment.”
Reviewed May 27, 2010

Had been to D. Rock's before and had found it to be very popular and the food of a high quality. Thus, when entertaining a friend who was in Florence for the first time, I chose it as our venue, but I was mightily disappointed with the whole dining experience and embarassed that I had recommended this place to my friend. There was a tourist menu style offer advertised outside the restaurant but the staff did not seem to know anything about it but eventually informed us it did not apply at night. The place which used to be buzzing was empty when we arrived ( which should have aroused our suspicions). Despite the paucity of customers it took a considerable time for us to be served and the food turned out to be of a low standard indeed. Beware in particular the nasty chicken curry risotto, the chicken of which was obviously extracted from a freezer and heated in a microwave. My artichoke risotto had the consistency of porridge. We had salad as a side and it was pretty unremarkable. All in all it was a bad start for my friend's holiday, it created an unfairly bad first impression of Italian food in Italy and it was sad to see that a once popular and thriving restaurant has declined so much.
