The owner of a local Florentine wine tasting bar recommended this restaurant to my daughters and me while we were recently in Florence. It was difficult to find on a dark rainy night, but because it was recommended so highly, we persevered. We were so happy to get in. There was only one table available and we sat next to a gentleman who appeared to be enjoying his meal. The restaurant was packed with locals, and the menu was in Italian. Ed, the artist proceeded to offer help with our selections. The pasta with white truffle sauce was one of the best primi's we had during our entire trip. Ed, the artist proceeded to enlighten us with other options. We had a great time and totally enjoyed the fresh food and friendly patrons.
If you are looking for authentic northern Italian cuisine and atmosphere, Buca dell'Orafo is the spot!
