The apartment is about a 15-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. It's in a lovely building on the third floor - there are two elevators, each can fit four adults, or two adults with luggage. Furnishings and bedding are modern and very comfortable. There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and the den has a sofa-bed that sleeps two. Kitchen equipment is modern and includes a coffee / cappuccino maker and a small supply of coffee. There is a clothes washer and dryer which we put to good use. The owner, Nik, greeted us and provided a list of recommendations - very helpful and friendly. Across the street from the apartment is a tram stop - the Florence tram system is not extensive, but we used it to go back to the train station on our departure day - convenient! There is a bus stop a couple of doors from the building entrance - since it was hot, we used the bus to get to the center of Florence - also convenient but the "buses" are more like airport rental car vans and can get crowded. Around the corner (to the right as you leave the building) is a grocery store that we used regularly - they also sell tram / bus tickets.
