Forget 3 star Michelin restaurants and their tasting menus, the food and service in this small back street italian canteen is far better than any of that.
Admittedly, even with the GPS on my phone it took a few minutes to find, but once inside the welcome was warm and friendly - immediatelty offering us some complimentary prosecco and fried bread (which in themselves were the best I have tasted anywhere in the world).
We ordered a number of items, all of which were superb from the fish carpaccio to the ravioli or the osso buco. Everything was perfect. Fine honest food - perfectly cooked and excellent flavours. What more could you ask for - and I have to say the osso buco in particular is the best I have tasted anywhere in the world in any restaurant ever.
To wrap up we were given complimentary biscottis - a nice touch from a very nice dining experience. If you are ever in Florence this is a must go to place. Unforgettable.
