It was like a HEAVEN to get to live in this hostel.
I lived in a female dorm, but if I knew that this place is so good and so safe, i would deff go for a mixed dorm.
FRE wifi, sauna, gym and pool, TV, hairdryer. There is a laundry room for pay which is great. There is a TV in the room, there are a lot of trips organized by the hostel. I mean, that was FANTASTIC. Thank you Plus Florence staff!

The positives: The hostel is located very close to the main train station (so you can wheel your bags to the hostel), the rooms and bathrooms are clean, well equipped with a TV and hairdryer, you can ask for an female only shared-dorm and there is a pool, sky deck bar and gym. Plus, girls receive a small bathroom pack, complete with nail filer as well. The negatives: there is never enough staff on the front desk so it can take a couple of minutes before you served (even though the staff were always friendly when you did get served), the bathroom did not have enough light and some of the other guest were a bit rowdy, making my sleep very difficult on the first evening. On the whole, I truly enjoyed my stay - particularly as I booked for a shared female dorm and in the end, had one all to myself. I would highly recommend this place to any budget traveller.

I travelled with my Husband so we had a private double en-suite room. It was cheaper than a hotel and about 20 mins walk up one main road from the station. The Santa Maria Cathedral was within 5 mins walking distance and there were many shops and restaurants nearby. The pool in the basement changes colour and there is a sauna...the pool is cold but needed in the heat of August.

The roof terrace is great and the canteen is fine...just basic dishes. To pay for food and drinks in the hostel you put money on your key card, no cash is on sight. There are tours offered such as wine tasting, but we didn't have the time or money (about 35 euros each).

The only downside is you need to pay for interest and towels. Some hostels have this free.

My friends and I stayed here for two nights while backpacking through Italy and Spain and it was one of the best hostels we stayed in throughout our two week trip.

It's in a good location, close to markets, banks and bus routes. It's about a ten minute walk to the train station. At certain times the streets are quite busy, which made it tough to walk with our luggage.

The receptionists and staff were very helpful. The front desk can get busy at peak times (ie. check out). They require that you purchase a type of debit card which you use to pay for anything you purchase within the hostel (food, drinks, laundry, internet). Whatever balance is left on the card is returned to you at check-out.

The breakfast was standard - cereal, bread, eggs, juice, coffee and tea. The restaurant/bar was fun and had a good crowd at night. It would get pretty loud too, so if you're worried about noise levels, ask for one that's not right above the restaurant/bar. They had different theme nights at the bar, and also organized trips at additional costs that you could sign up for.

Rooms were great! We booked a private triple room which had a private bath. They were extremely clean and we even had our own lockers. We had a walk-out balcony which connected with other rooms.

I would definitely stay here again.

this place was by far the best from our budget trip around europe. the room was clean and tidy. nice view from the room. only thing that was annoying was having to constantly switch on the aircoinditioner which isnt great at stupid o'clock in the morning (felt like a sweatbox). staff were superb. made you feel welcome all the time and that nothing was too much of a hassle. if you do stay here, make sure you go to the terrace bar when the sun goes down. definately the best view in all of florence!!!
