made a reservation here at the last minute (one of the last rooms available in Florence) and did not regret the decision. From timely responses to emails, to directions, to the cleanliness of room (we stayed in the Rosse room), everything surpassed our expectations. The old furniture was simply a plus....I would stay here again in a heartbeat. (and they have free Wi-Fi!!!)

La Casa dei Tintori is one of my fondest memories of our trip to Italy. From the moment Ricardo greeted us with smiles and an orientation map highlighted with suggested "must see's" to Alfredo's historical knowledge of the city with delicious dining suggestion! And Valeria's cappuccino will give you the fuel to do it all.
We booked the Indigo room which I believe was on the lower price end but was the most comfortable and roomiest room of our trip. The location is perfect right in the historic district and just a block from the river if you're interested in a picturesque morning run.
We actually had two stays here, after a 4 day motorcycle tour of Tuscany I felt like I was coming home again to La Casa Tintori.

This establishment is run by two of the nicest people one could ever meet. We were most welcomed by Valeria and Alfredo, the owners of Casa Dei Tintori. Our stay is one my wife and I will never forget. We stayed in the "Green Room" with was very spacious and charming. We had a balcony that overlooked a courtyard with large French doors. Each morning we had a wonderful Breakfast prepared by Valaria... She alone, with her warmth and beautiful persona, was a perfect start to each day. Florence is a wonderful place, and so are these wonderful people of Casa Dei Tintori!

B&B La Casa dei Tintori was an amazing B&B. If you are still looking for a place to stay in Florence you can stop looking. This is the B&B you want to stay at. Ricardo who welcomed us in the reception room was very friendly and gave us great reccomendations. Right away he made us feel at home! Alfredo and Valeria run a first class B&B with incredible service and helpful staff. The location was perfect for all of our excursions in Florence. The breakfast was delicious!!! Try the crossiants filled with Nutella!!! Mmmmm. Stay here, you wont regret it!! Beautiful home!!!

Our stay at La Casa dei Tintori was very enjoyable. Alfredo upgraded us to the red room when another reservation had been cancelled (we had booked the new room). Worked out well since we got the daily in-house breakfasts. I wasn't all that crazy about the tartes / cereal offered, but was more than happy with my bread, nutella, and yogurt. Alfredo was very kind and gave us great restaurant tips and directions - very patient! Our only gripes would be that the red room, while beautiful, could be a bit better lit. It was hard to get natural light in there and the overhead light was pretty dim. The other thing was we got kinda lost getting to the B&B, since we didn't know which direction on the bus line from the train station to go (the same bus line left from two different locations)! Chalk that up to inexperienced tourists who didn't have a guidebook, but it would have been great to have even more specifics on the B&B website to that effect. Take the bus from right next to the building, not out in the median!
Anyway, great stay in a beautiful city.

The inn is in a great location and it is super easy to navigate anywhere in the city from. Also, Alfredo and Valeria were so welcoming and made my stay wonderful. The room was quiet and cool and has a great local bar right down the street. I would recommend this b&b!

If kind, helpful service makes a difference to you, along with a gorgeous room with an authentic feel and a perfect breakfast, I recommend this place. We were in the Green Room, which was unique and beautiful and gave us a hidden platform to stash all our shopping. It's close to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, and everything else, very central. Great air conditioning, and the breakfast is an enormous spread of cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee made to order, juices, etc - perfect way to start the day. The only warning that we wished we'd gotten was for the mosquitos - we didn't have repellant and the contraption they provided didn't seem to do much.

Alfredo and Valeria were super helpful, too, assisting with museum tickets and wine tastings and car rentals. It made a huge difference. Would definitely return.

Brad, Montreal

Room Tip: Green room, bring mosquito repellant you can sleep in.
