We found this restaurant recommended in Rick Steve's book. It is very close to the Pitti Palace. We did not have reservations but there was a table available on Sunday at 2:00. I think the restaurant was only filled with locals which is usually a good sign. The menu is in Italian and no English subtitles. I ordered the baccala or cod for 15 euros. The three cod filets were rolled and fried in a very light batter with a side of lentils. It was an interesting way to prepare cod but it was good. My daughter ordered pasta with a meat sauce and enjoyed it but didn't rave about it. My husband ate the typical Tuscan stew. There is a 2 euro per person cover charge. The service was average. Yes, we enjoyed our meal and it was a quaint restaurant. Would we walk the distance from the old city across the Arno to eat there again...probably try another place instead.
