We enjoyed this small museum In Cortona with seven exhibition halls with many paintings of the Annunciation! There was no elevator for us so had to use stairs! The lower level is embellished with Cardboard representation of the cross. The museum is only partially assessable to disabled persons?

Although this time museum is packed with great art, it is not o be missed for its Annunciation by Beato Angelico. How this out-of-the-way museum came to have such a great collection is astounding. And, no crowds, and cheap.

Really a lot of beauty packed into this tiny museum. It was refreshing to visit with no crowds and just take the time to see some famous art.

I am sort of with Mark Twain when it comes to walls of art in most any museum. Unless you have specific interest or knowledge, it becomes a blur. This is a small museum with one masterpiece. That made it for us.

Opposite of the Cathedral, in the building that was the Church del Gesu, this great museum hosts some of the most valuable treasures from the city’s history. There are many works from the other churches of Cortona on display here, the most interesting are those made by Fra Angelico, Berrettini and Lorenzetti. Very interesting museum houses many masterpieces from prominent artists dating from the 2nd century BC till the modern days. This is a must-see museum during the visit to Cortona!

The art pieces are amazing. Did not realise such famous artists are associated with Cortona. Only a small museum but well worth a visit.

A small museum near the Cathedral but well worth a visit to see paintings by Signorelli and the Annuciation by the Beato Angelico, with the beautiful angel with the red dress and blond hair

I don't mean to offend, but the luscious paintings of Baby Jesus with Popes or Cardinals is just wrong. The paintings at the museum are fantastic.
