“Deightful Stay in Tuscany”
Reviewed August 7, 2010

We enjoyed staying here as it felt like a true "Italian" experience.. a family opening up their home to their guests. Each couple had their own villa with a community pool nestled in a postcard setting... the Tuscan hills, beautiful sunsets, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and especially remember a day spent in the cooking class offered by Barbara and her mom.

Traveling to italy was a dream come true for me. Upon our arrival we were met by Ahso the German Shepard.
Our first evening was spen having drinks and snacks on our terrrace overlooking the beautiful Tuscan valley that was our backyard.
Our hosts Barbara and Stefano were wonderful.
We will definitely be returning and staying much longer!

My husband and I wanted a peaceful retreat to celebrate our 30th anniversary as well as somewhere we could do wine tasting and cooking classes. Rosa Dei Veinte was beyond our expectations. They have renovated their 18th century farmhouse and created three more cottages, creating a very modern space while maintaining the old world Tuscan feel. Everyone had a private entrance and outdoor sitting area available to them along with the pristine pool and barbecue area. After a day of touring nearby Tuscan towns, it was refreshing to come home and swim, read by the pool, use their bikes or just walk around the countryside. Barbara and Stefano made you feel like part of their family and we had such a fun time with the cooking class.

Rosa dei Venti was the most wonderful part of our trip to Italy. We traveled to Florence first and then to the Tuscan hill towns and stayed for several days at Rosa dei Venti. Immediately after arriving at Rosa dei Venti, if felt like coming home. The setting is magnificent. The apple and olive trees, wheat and sunflower fields all surround the beautifully constructed apartments we stayed in (built by Stepano and his father and relatives). Stephano and Barbara were welcoming, generous, helpful and fun. They directed us to the local restaurants and hill towns and helped us decide how to prioritize our time in their area. We attended Barbara and Ornella's cooking class and learned so much. We've managed to bring a little Italy home by cooking several of their dishes in our home . I've recommended Rosa dei Venti to my friends and I hope to travel there again. There are so many places to go in the world, but I look forward to going back to Rosa dei Venti.

We had an incredilble time at the Villa and the service was welcoming and incredible. We didn't hestitate to ask for anything even though they provided us with everything and including places to travel with the directions which was very helpful!! The rooms were very beautiful and clean. The pool was always kept up and our 5 and 3 year old had a blast in it. The location is ideal for travelers because you were only 15 min. to one hour depending on where you wanted to go for sightseeing. The Villa had everything you needed for cooking and cleaning and laundry. Our favorite part of the Villa was the family like atmosphere. The owners which were all family made you feel like you were part of there family as well and the dinner that they host one night in the week was the most delicious and fabulous time we had all week. We will back to vacation there again!!

We discovered Rosa dei Venti in 2003 and from the very beginning we fell in love with
the place. This year we came for the 5th time together with our sons and their girl-friends and it felt like a homecoming. We had a special occasion to celebrate and we could not imagine a better place. The agriturismo, the location with beautiful surroundings and the people,so friendly, warm and helpful, family Micheli, made our stay unforgettable. It felt so good to be back again. And we can assure you it was not our last time at Rosa dei Venti. So dear friends till the next time.

Where can i even begin with Villa Rosa Dei Venti! My husband and i stayed there for a week in 2009 for our honeymoon and fell so in love with the villa and the Micheli family that upon our return we immediately began to plan another trip to stay at Villa Rosa Dei Venti with our entire family.

Nine of us traveled to Tuscany in June of 2010 to spend a week at Villa Rosa Dei Venti. My parents, in-laws, Aunt and Uncle, My husband, stepson and I rented Mastrale and Scirocco for the last week in June, and just as i remembered it was absolutely perfect!

The price of renting this Villa is very very good for how amazing it is. My family all agreed that had we paid double, it still would have been a great value. Leading up to the trip Barbara was in contact to ensure that our arrangements were perfect upon our arrival. When we arrived in Tuscany on Saturday morning the Micheli Family welcomed us with open arms.

The Villa is absolutely immaculate both inside the amazing cottages, and has the most perfect grounds you could imagine. Not a stone or blade of grass out of place! It is so picturesque and completely embodies the spirit and culture of Tuscany. The cottages provide more than enough space with lovely rooms and common areas. The kitchens are well equipped with dishes, pots and pans and even coffee pots so that you can easily cook and eat in every night. The original architecure has been beautifully restored and preserved, but still manages to offer common comforts such as great lighting, wiring and screens in every window.

From a location perspective, the Villa couldn't be better situated. We had rented a car in Cortona and were quickly and easily on the superstrada each day to reach our daily destination. All of the greatest towns in Tuscany are an easy hour to hour and a half drive. Each evening we would return to the villa to cook dinner and relax, and Barbara was always there in the event that there was anything that we needed.

Another wonderful opportunity at Villa Rosa Dei Venti is the cooking class run by Barbara and her mother Ornella. We took this class on both of our trips and learned new things each time. The family will teach you to use local ingredients, love and passion to prepare a wonderful meal; which you will have the opportunity to enjoy with the Micheli family and the other families staying at the villa. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

I believe that i will run out of space before I can write all of the wonderful things about Villa Rosa Dei Venti. Should you decide to stay here, you will be thrilled with every minute and even once you leave it will stay in your heart. My family is already planning our return!
