“Another fantastic stay”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

We visited the Micheli family for the second time June 15-20 and it was a wonderful experience just like the first time. The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. The cooking class was loads of fun and the meal we prepared was delicious, thanks to Barbara and Ornella. Our guide Lorenza was fantastic and we had a truly exceptional time. Only down side is we wish we could have stayed longer. Our apartment had air conditioning, but we did not need it. This is the place to stay when touring the hill towns. Thanks again to the whole family.

Room Tip: If you want to see sunflowers go lair in June or July

Our stay here was perfect. So peaceful..... The apartment was spacious and immaculate, the views beautiful and the location could not be better. An easy drive to lovely Cortona and a great home base for exploring other Tuscan hill towns and vineyards. Barbara and Stefano were superb hosts. We are already dreaming of a return trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The grounds are immaculate, as was our apartment; the kitchen was well-stocked. The buildings are totally restored/renovated, so we had the charm of an "old farmhouse", but all the modern conveniences. Barbara and Stefano were terrific.

The location (Creti) is idyllic, and perfect for R&R, yet handy for exploring the hill towns. The town of Cortona is about 20-30 minutes away, Assisi was about an hour away.

We could see why our neighbors have returned multiple times. It seems like the perfect, relaxing get-away & we'd love to be able to return someday.

We just got back from Italy. A highlight of our trip was Villa Rosa dei Venti. After the hustle of Rome, this place was perfect. Watching the sunset in Tuscany while sitting by their pool is an unreal life experience. Peaceful. We also had so much fun with their cooking class. The food and wine was amazing. Having their family join us for lunch, made it even more special. I would rate this place a "must do" in Tuscany.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any of their rooms. As for fitness people like myself, run their hills

Sorry Barbara that this has taken so long for me to write- no excuses! This was one of the most lovely holidays of recent years. Our family (husband, three kids, me and the grandparents) spent the most fabulous week here last June. Barbara and Stefano are the most wonderful and gracious hosts. The property is immaculate, peaceful, and calming. Arriving was like taking a deep, cleansing breath and knowing that now you can relax. On one day, grandma and I, with the two older boys, joined in the cooking class. If you get the chance to do this, you must! Learning the real way of cooking a Ragu sauce will change the way you make Spag Bol forever... And my two boys will never forget making their own pasta. And the meal that everyone sits down to together afterwards is an experience not to be missed. The location is magical, the company perfect, the food and wine exceptional. Our only regret- it was over far too soon. Thank you so much! We hope to be back one day.

I know this review is a little late (we were there in June 2012), but better late than never. This was our first visit to Rosa Dei Venti. When we were planning our trip to Italy, we wanted to stay in one central area and take day trips from there. A friend of ours (who had previously stayed at the Villa) recommended Rosa Dei Venti as an absolute must!! He was so right. We stayed there for three weeks and enjoyed every single moment. Barbara, Stefano and family are truly remarkable. The place is spotless, the pool is wonderful and the grounds are perfectly manicured. When (not if) you decide to stay at the Villa, make sure you take in the cooking class; an experience you won't forget for a very long time. Hopefully we will return to this beautiful place we call paradise. Brian, Kay and Pat

This is our second visit to Rosa Dei Venti. We stayed there six years ago and it felt like coming home to our very special place in Tuscany. Barbara and Stefano are the perfect hosts as they made sure they took care of all our needs. We took the cooking class this visit and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We cooked over a dozen Italian dishes in their newly built kitchen complex, and then sat down with their entire family for a very special Sunday meal. It is a bit expensive but worth it. We stayed in the large three bedroom old farmhouse. The nights were cool so we cuddled up around the fireplace. We didn't need all the space provided by the farmhouse, but it felt like we had our own little Italian villa. Both Stefano and Barbara helped us many times over our five days with travel directions or arrangements. Make sure you try some of their homemade wine...it is very good. You cannot go wrong staying with them.

Room Tip: The farmhouse doesn't have air conditioning so ask about it if you are going to stay in July or...
