“An Unexpected Treat”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Have been here a number of times. A lovely restuarant specialising in fish but also do a mean pizza.

Bottom line this is very good and very well cooked food at reasonable prices. The wine is also generally excellent. Unless you are an expert there is no need to look beyond the house wines.

Service is wonderful and warm, although beware english is limited.

A note of caution, you will need to book at busy times. Definitley worth a visit. Im My humble opinion of of the best in the area.

“Wonderful food and great wine list”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We always dine at least once by Mario and his family when passing through Cortona. Its a great trattoria and one of few places to go, if not the only one, when craving for buffalo cheese, fish and exquisite wines.

“Best Meal in Italy!”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

Although this restaurant is located in Cortona, the foods served are typical neopolitan dishes. We had a sauteed clams (in olive oil and garlic) as an appetizer, a generous portion served over italian bread, flounder and veal with mushrooms. All a foodie's delight! For dessert we had lemon cake, made by a family member--to die for! This was by far the best meal we ate in Italy and this restaurant was only about 400 yards from our bed and breakfast!

“Rare to find such fresh and excellent fish in the Tuscan countryside”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

We have been a few times to this place, which is conveniently located in Camucia, with plenty of parking space. The place is always packed, even on a weekday in winter.
You can choose which fish they cook for you and how. The pizzas are excellent as well. Good wine list. Friendly waiters.
The perfect place to go to when you are fed up with all the meat and salumi which that part of Tuscany seems to be full of.

“FRESH FISH…SUPERB SERVICE”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Located on the main street of Camucia (Cortona) you will find Canta Napoli, a ristoranti where local residents gather to celebrate food, wine and family. On a recent trip, our friend Guido went with us to Canta Napoli. In one of our better decisions, we asked Guido to order dinner for us.

What a feast we had! The dinner we enjoyed included:

Antipasto: Steamed mussels con pepe;

Primi: Spaghetti con vongole and Ricotta filled ravioli with a butter and sage sauce;

Secondi: Pesce fritti (calamari, shrimp, clams…)
Pesce grillati: (sea bass, swordfish, gamberoni, calamari…):

Dolce: Lemon sorbetto.

The seafood was fresh and flavorful. The pasta was “aldente to perfection”. Canta Napoli is a joyful ristoranti with great food and great service.
