Traveling around the Tuscan region of Italy it is not always easy to find a great restaurant for lunch. La Bucaccia was not only open but busy with appreciative patrons including us. We came around 1:30, which is still lunch time here, and got a great table for four. The owner, who is also the Chef, came out to meet us and helped us to make our selections.
We selected a local inexpensive wine,O'Lillo! by Toscana and enjoyed it very much. The salad was great with locally grown tomatoes and lettuce. Upon the advice of the Chef I had the Medieval "Bauletti" (pork shoulder) glazed with Acacia Honey and apples and it was delicious!
When we return to Cortona, this restaurant will be on our list for Dinner.
