“A truly special and wonderful visit to Tuscany!”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Thank you so much Luca, Maria, and Angela for an absolutely wonderful experience in Tuscany! Hill and Roads arranged to pick myself and two friends up when we got off the train in Florence. They had us booked for the museums we had requested, drove us right to the door almost---took us to a wonderful local lunch and then to our hotel in San Giminago. Picked us up two days later for a tour of Siena and to several wonderful villages in the area, then took us to our hotel in Cortona. We were with Angela, Maria and with Luca and each of them were great! Their knowledge of the area, the country side, the cities, just made our time in Tuscany perfect.

“Second Time Touring with Luca as Wonderful as the First”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is my second trip with Luca and as before, my group and I totally enjoyed our time with him in Tuscany. We had contacted him for transportation from Florence to Siena and although all of his associates were elsewhere engaged, he went out of his way for us to arrange the transportation with a colleague. Our first day of touring we visited several small little known areas which we especially appreciated as we had been in Venice a few days before and were happy not to have to dodge hundreds of tourists. At lunchtime Luca picked out a nice little restaurant run by a local couple. Our meals were some of the best we had. Our second day was a complete change of plans as two of our group were not feeling well and Luca was very flexible and put together a very nice day for us on the spur of the moment. I would not hesitate to recommend him and hope to some day return to Tuscany and use his services again.

“LUCCA IS GREAT AND SO KNOWLEDGEABLE!”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

We missed Lucca as soon as we left him! Thanks for showing us Florence and Pisa and then taking us on a secret special side trip to the Machivelli Museum on the outskirts of Florence.
We raced through our day on our one day in port and saw everything we dreamed of.
Email Lucca and get your tour in perfect English by one of the most experienced tour guides
in Italy!! Fantastically priced as well.

“Leave the Driving to Luca!”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

I learned an important lesson on this trip to Italy.....leave the driving to Luca. My two friends and I hired Luca to pick us up in Venice and drive us to our villa in Tuscany. About an hour into the trip, the autostrada was shut down due to an horrible accident and we were stuck. Luca took us to a little town where we had a great lunch and he got us safely to our villa. Once in the country, we decided we could drive ourselves around to the villages. What a mistake. We had a flat tire at night and an expensive $150 ticket to show for it! He picked us up in Tuscany and drove us to Rome on a scenic route. We stopped in a beautiful medieval village and had a memorable lunch at a restaurant in someone's home. It was great authentic experience. Luca is flexible with plans and makes great suggestions on where to stop. Before this trip, I thought a driver was a luxury but now I am convinced that it's the only way to go. You will have experiences that you wouldn't on your own. Thank you Luca for making our girls trip more fun.

“Wonderful Day in Tuscany”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Our cruise ship, Carnival Breeze, visited Livorno, Italy on October 3rd. After doing some research we opted to use Hills and Roads for our tour. Luca, the owner provided excellent information and very competitive pricing for our group of six. We opted to do a quick visit of Pisa and also to visit two smaller villages in Tuscany. Luca was very helpful in planning a trip that met our needs.

Our driver/guide was Marije. We had an absolutely outstanding day. Marije was extremely knowledgeable about the local area. She really took us to some out of the way places. This was the only day on our cruise we felt like we really got to see the real Italy. We also had time to visit a small local winery. The two towns we visited were Lari and Peccoli. This was our favorite day of the cruise. Just a beautiful day and a fabulous tour.

I highly recommend Hills and Roads. This is a smaller company and they very much exceeded my expectations for a great day!
