This restaurant, it's service and its food are a shining light in Taormina and all of the island. My wife and I just returned to the hotel from a spectacular dinner which included Arancini stuffed with cheese and anchovies, eggplant casserole, a ravioli stuffed with tender squid, sea bream in a butter sauce and, my own secundi of tuna with a sweet onion and chocolate sauce. Yes, that's right and lick- the-plate-delicious. Every meal is preceded by bread, bread sticks and incredible olive oil. Even our desserts, a pane cotta and a deconstructed cannolo were wonderful.
The pace of the meal, slow but not in attentive was perfect. Each of the wait staff and the owner/chef made us feel like special guests. This is a must-do if you're in Western Sicily or, for that matter, in Italy. With a bottle of Sicilian vino rosso, the price was about 115 euro, almost half the price of other "fine dining" joints in this overpriced town.
