“Great location and lively but expensive!”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

This place is on the Corso Umberto and a great location central to the square. Normally some sort of evening entertainment going on but the drinks are pricey - we paid 6.50 euros for a bottled beer and 12 euros for a gin & tonic!!

“Expensive, but good service, good food and stunning views”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Went to Wunderbar a couple of times, a few times for lunch and a few times of evening drinks. The lunch time menu is limited but the food is good, not great but good and slightly on the expensive side. Drinks however, are very expensive once you stray from local wine. Local beer for instance is 2 times what you pay for it elsewhere and long drinks the same. However, the view and atmosphere are great. On a Saturday night we went there was a band with a saxophonist who whilst a bit OTT was very good entertainment. The service is very good (it would have too be t justify the prices). On afternoon the couple on the table next to use was being plagued by wasps. A waiter came to their rescue with a fly swot. Once he had successfully swotted a wasp he turned to the clientele and announced he was "John McEnore"

“Watch the world go by”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

If you like people watching this is the place to go. Well worth the price of a glass of wine or a beer wile you watch the population of Taormina stroll by. Didn't try the food but people around us appeared to enjoy it.

Open air cafe/restaurant in a square with stunning views over the beaches of taormina below. A bit pricey but you were not rushed to leave. A coffee or limonata could take an hour.Great place for people watching

Cocktails early evening in a beautiful setting. What a lovely way to watch the world go by. You pay for the setting but it is worth it.
