We stayed here on a family vacation. There were 7 of us - all adults in 4 rooms. The views from the rooms, the dining areas and the pool were breathtaking. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. There was always lots off fresh fruit, whole & cut up, delicious pastries (the warm donuts and pistachio cake were out of this world), scrambled eggs, bacon, various other hot items, cheeses, cold meats, breads (the best multi grain bread in all of Taormina), nuts, cereals, yogurt & of course coffee, espresso etc. They even had soy milk.
We had a late lunch (3:00) there when we arrived which was just not great which was unfortunate because we didn't eat any other meals (other than breakfast) there as a result. The setting for dinner was fabulous but there were never more than one or two people eating there so we ate elsewhere. It seems a shame. Somehow the chef who prepares such a great breakfast should attract a dinner crowd.
The rooms were very nice with great balconies. The pool was large and in perfect condition - there are several lap swimmers in our group who were thrilled with the pool. They had a small but very serviceable fitness center with one each top quality elliptical, treadmill and exercycle machine as well as weights.
It is about an 8 min walk to the main shopping street Corso Umberto but no big deal...and along the way there are little shops and you could walk through the lovely Giardini della Villa Communal Gardens on your way if you wanted.
The staff at the front desk were wonderful, always had big smiles & were very helpful.
My understanding is that they are going to be updating the rooms and hallways which would be nice. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has just been re-furbished so everything was immaculate. When we arrived we noticed that there were not many guests but did pay too much attention to this.
We booked dinner, when we arrived in the dining room all the tables were set but we were the only dinners.
The individual service was impeccable but the meal left a little to be desired. What there was of it was quite good.
Shrimp Carpaccio, Tuna Tartar followed by Tuna with red jelly and Mackerel. These were two meals. Unfortunately the mackerel were about the size of your little finger.
We went to breakfast expecting the usual buffet, but again no other people.
We were served individually, again the service was excellent. Although the poached egg was a little raw.
Outside the hotel by the pool is very large and well furnished, the views of the sea are very good as the hotel is in a very elevated position. The gardens and the short walk to a kind of private dinning are also very pleasant.
We found out that the hotel had just opened after refurbishment and the season had just started. That was why there were no other guests. I'm sure when it is full there will be sufficient sun loungers for everyone.
The hotel is situated a short walk from the village centre, it is quite steep but we were told that in the season a shuttle bus runs regularly to the town centre and down to the sea. It is an ideal hotel for a quite restful holiday, but not necessarily child friendly.

Room tip: I belive all the rooms have good views, and the hotel is really quiet and comfortable

We stayed here in the first week of May.

The sea view rooms are stunning and the terrace and pool fantastic. it is a 60ft by 30ft pool just first class.

The best part of the stay were the staff some of whom we learnt by name Antonio and Francesca in the dining room and terrace and Paolo on the reception desk who actually offered to drop us somewhere on his way home !!

We plan to stay again in early October

Room tip: You must get a sea view

We arrived in the evening and took a late dinner on the balcony overlooking the sea. What a stunning and elegant setting for a dinner patio. The same can be said for the pool, and the hotel itself. Felt like I was in a James Bond movie. Make sure to check out their beach, accessed with their shuttle.

The first impression is that the Hotel is upscale. You walk into the lobby the marble floors shine and the woodwork is glimmering. The service at reception is cordial and unassuming. Get a glass of wine and sit in one of the comfortable chairs and people watch before you go outside to view the infinity pool overlooking the blue Mediterranean. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. You are within walking distance to the main square. The food in the Hotel dining room is also first rate and nouveau. You will enjoy your stay here
