But why would you charge 13 euros for a glass of wine and then give only half as much as the standard wine portion in every other country? Standard is 250ml, they give 125mls.
We thought the waiter was pouring a taster, but then he left. That was it!
What kind of business reasoning can be involved in leaving guests, who are already paying double the usual amount for the privilege of sitting on the terrace, feeling annoyed and as if they have been taken for a ride?

The waiter wanted to take our order and we weren't quite ready, then he left us to serve others for another 20-30 minutes. We waited so long for him to return, after waiving and straining my neck to get someone's attention, I ended up having to go up to the bar and ask for what we chose.
Having planned to stay here for another night or two, we ended up leaving the town the next morning, largely due to the realization in this hotel that we were a commodity rather than valued guests. It soured our whole experience of Taormina.
