My wife & I found this restaurant in an unfashionable street near the Porta Catania by accident not having seen any Trip Advisor recommendations. We ate there 3 nights in a one week holiday which is unheard of for us. They were the best value & quality meals of our stay, whether it was sea food pasta, fish or meat (fillet steak of the highest quality). The chick-pea appetiser & post meal liqueur are a nice touch. The family are a delight & very welcoming...........Dad in the kitchen (we were invited into it on our last visit to say goodbye) & Mum, son & daughter serving/front of house. Unlike other reviews we've since read, we found the house Nero D'Avola perfectly acceptable.............especially at 6 Euros for a half litre, having paid 25 Euros for a bottle of the same variety at a nearby restaurant on the Corso Umberto! We got the impression the locals who use it think so too.
