What a beautiful hotel. Amazing views and very clean and tidy. Staff were a bit Jekyl and Hyde.. Day staff very helpful, evening staff needed to go to charm school. Tiny bathroom. Good aircondition. A bit old fashioned but that contributed to the charm of it all.
Perfect location, lovely restaurant. Great pastries and classic Italian cakes... Yummy.... Nice restaurant staff.
Lovely patio areas/ sun deck to appreciate the gorgeous views. If you love a good sunrise you'll see one here. Breakfast typical continental... Pass the nutella and a croissant please... Enjoy.

Room Tip: Book a room with view and you'll love it. Balcony would be an extra special treat...

I was with my family in august 2012 in Taormina Mare,at hotel Villa Bianca and was nice. Some problems with the conditionary air conditioning, but the room was large and has a nice terace with sea view.
The towels were changed daily.
The breakfast was simple, few choises, but very friendly people.
We payed each day 35 euro for 3 bed on the beach and we ate at Lida La Pigna. The food was very tasty and fresh.People were cheerful and welcoming.Depends what you want to eat,the menu could be between 20-120 euro.

Myself and my partner booked into this hotel on spec. We had previously booked an apartment in Taormina which turned out to be what I can only describe as a "dungeon", hence the reason to move on. On arrival we needed a room for 6 nights and asked to be away from the road at the front. We were given the key to look at a room on the second floor at the back of the main building. It was very clean, nicely furnished, a good size and quite a large 4 piece bathroom. Needless to say we accepted immediately.
We couldn't have been happier, the bed linen changed daily along with towels. A safe provided in the room and the hotel is opposite the main beach in taormina mare, which is down more than 80 steps. !!!. We had bed/breakfast, which was also good, the usual continental style buffet but good choice. We also had dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel, which served excellent food and extremely nice cakes. The staff are also friendly and helpful.
All in all I would stay at the Villa Bianca again if I ever returned to Taormina, and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Higher rooms or at the back of the building are quiter away from the busy Via Nacionale at the front...

Stayed from 6th to 13th May, booked through Thompsons. Not been to Italy before, first time to Sicily. We had room 804 which has a sea view with balcony - such a lovely view of the very pretty bay. The staff were helpful and friendly, beds changed daily and towels if required. The light over the mirror in our bathroom was not working and, as it isn't very bright in there we asked for the bulb to be replaced. It was changed that day but was not working again by the next day! The pull switch for the extractor by the shower never worked while we stayed so we left the bathroom door open while showering to try to stop it getting steamy and damp. We appreciated the safe in the wardrobe (included in the price) and the mini bar, telly, phone and hairdryer. We didn't use the air con as the sturdy metal shutters outside the balcony window kept out the heat when we were out in the daytime.

We stayed as B&B which consisted of cereals, yoghurt, cold meat, cheese, rolls, pears, pineapple, jams, butter, tea or coffee (fresh) and a choice of 3 fruit juices. The table waiting staff are attentive and helpful. We used the restaurant downstairs in the evening for about 3 nights and were happy with our meals but especially the service by the lovely man working in there.

We wanted to relax and soak in the sun so spent nearly every day on the beach either in front of the hotel (pebbly, we took slip on beach shoes which you can also wear while swimming) or on Isola Bella beach, also a bit pebbly/rocky. Sun Bed and parasol were 5euros each. The sea was clean but freezing! Once you are in it's bearable and you get used to it, but of course will warm up as the year progresses. I have to warn people, this is no exaggeration, women walking up and down the beaches approached us EVERY FEW MINUTES asking if we wanted a massage. I didn't lose my cool and just kept saying no thank you, but it becomes maddening all day every day and ruined what should have been a well earned and hard saved up for relax ing time.

There are some fabulous restaurants a short walk away from the hotel, going up the hill towards the Ipanamena Hotel just on the left hand bend on the right. One is run by a woman called Nela - the food is excellent. The restaurant next door is also very good. Make sure you try the local wine!

We went on the Etna trip which we will never forget, well worth the money. If you are fit enough go all the way up in the cable car and then the special buses with the big wheels to get you up to just over 2,000m and walk round the craters. Our trip was organised by Thompsons and the guide/vulcanologist was very good. We took the cable car, 3.50euros return, one day up into Taormina and enjoyed walking the Corsica Umberta and exploring the ancient little passages and lovely churches. The now public gardens are a must. We also walked to Giardinni Naxos one day taking in the beautiful wild flowers and fantastic coastline. Also, we went on the little boat trip from the beach to visit the caves and see the coastline properly from the sea (about 20euros each). Isola Bella itself is lovely to walk around, costing about 4 euros I think.

We loved the part of Sicily we saw and liked the hotel because of the location and lovely staff. Our only dislike was being disturbed every few minutes on the beaches (even in Giardinni Naxos) by the women pedalling their massages - it really was quite ridiculous and unexpected.

Room Tip: The extra for a sea view room is well worth it.

In October this year I went to Sicily for the first time and stayed in the Villa Bianca, the staff were welcoming and very helpful, they did everything to make sure we had a great stay. Even when we had a few powercuts they were very helpful.

The hotel was clean and tidy and the only problems we encountered were the powercuts and the fact that there was only one small lift(only fits 2 people). This would not normally be a problem for me, but when a very large party arived we were stuck in the lobby as we were at the top of the building and the person I was travelling with could not walk up all the stairs with ease.

The sister hotel a few minutes up the road was very accomodating as we have access to their swimming pool.

All the staff were fantastic!

I loved the hotel so much that I will be going back in July 2012

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view are the best option as the view is amazing.

we were in room 904 great veiws, the rooms are small but clean. There,s a mini bus to the lido for 6 euros this is good value. The staff are pleasent and helpful. The main let down is the food which at best is very average and at worst very poor.We had good meals at the lido and in tormina and if we went again we would just go b&b.The pool is in a sister hotel up the road which is a bit to far to go after a day out.Overall the hotel is good for what you pay ,but eat out

Room Tip: rooms 904,905 great views
