Perfection in a hotel. Beautifully appointed rooms, brilliant views, but most of all, the most wonderful, friendly and attentive staff. My partner, family and close friends all stayed at Hotel Villa Carlotta for our wedding and could not have asked for a more perfect week. From the delicious breakfasts, to free massages; the refreshing pool to spectacular views, you were left wanting for nothing. We’re already planning a return visit!

We stayed as a couple and felt so lucky. On arrival we were taken to the rooftop terrace for a complimentary glass of Prosecco and knew we’d made a good choice - the view from the top was idyllic. The terrace looks out over the sea and has a view of Mt Etna which we saw burning one night. The room wasn’t huge but had a lovely terrace and everything you could want - super comfy bed, gown, slippers, safe, good WiFi, pool towel, plus shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and body lotion so no need to pack those!
The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the hub of the town but far enough to feel
like a nice escape as Taormina centre is very busy. The amphitheatre is a must - beautiful, as are the botanical gardens on the way to the town. One day we walked down the many steps from the viewpoint to the seafront (not a very nice walk)- which made us even more happy we had stayed at the top of the town. Isola Bella is best viewed from a distance - the beach near it is disappointing and dominated by hotel’s private loungers.
The staff at the hotel were so excellent, particularly those in reception. Finally Thankyou Villa Carlotta for the kindness shown for our anniversary- much appreciated x

We recently spent a week in Sicily at the Villa Carlotta. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We were lucky to be welcomed by the owner and given a tour of his beautiful property. Simona and the entire team at reception were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble eg arranging tours or meals out. The hotel accommodation was tastefully decorated with all facilities you would need. Dinner and breakfast was served in the rooftop restaurant with stunning views to Etna and the coast. Staff again were superb. Look forward to staying again!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Taormina with wonderful service and wonderful breakfasts. The roof terrace restaurant has the most amazing views of the sea and Mount Etna. They offer a complimentary neck massage after breakfast which is an added bonus and a lovely way to unwind at the start of the holiday. The concierge is very knowledgeable and offers lots of tips for places to see in and around Taormina. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's on the pricier end of the scale but Taormina is, I believe, one of the most expensive parts of Sicily. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days of luxury.

Dear KerryM461,
thank you for your perfect description of our hotel and really happy to know you have enjoyed your stay in our luxury boutique hotel so much.
Taormina is definitely the most expensive town of Sicily as it is the best and one of the most beautiful destinations not only in Sicily but in all Italy. But you can agree you pay for what you get, and here guests get a lot.
Thank you for your recommendation and we look forward to see you again soon.

Kind regards,
Riccardo C., general manager @ Hotel Villa Carlotta Taormina, awarded by Small Luxury Hotels of the World for the best mistery ispection in the world in 2018 @slh

We stayed here for 4 nights recently (one suite, one double deluxe room) and very much enjoyed our stay.

Location
Excellent. Within reach of everything that you need to get to in Taormina, but a few hundred meters away from the busy Corso Umberto, thank goodness.

Check-in and out
Efficient and friendly.

Rooms
The suites are very well-appointed and contain quality fittings, furnishings and bedding. The top floor lounge is superbly furnished and an ideal place to relax at any time of day.

Restaurant
Although the breakfast is not as extensive as in some hotels in Sicily, there was certainly enough of a selection for us and it was all of high quality. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and we had an early evening meal in the garden area. Both these meals were very good.

Staff
Every member of staff we encountered provided excellent service. They were attentive, friendly and service orientated. (The free 10 minute massage after breakfast was a nice touch.)

Ambience
This was the kind of hotel that suits our needs. It is small enough to be able to provide personal touches and it's as far away from a 'tourist hotel for the masses' as you are likely to get.

From the outside, the hotel isn't as aesthetically pleasing as others in the area, but Villa Carlotta is a hotel to be enjoyed from the inside, looking out.
