“Nice sea”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Sea is nice but this place is a bit overrated.

Letojanni or giardini naxos beaches provide better and bigger spaces. Too crowded for my likings

“A Great Bay for Sunbathing and Swimming”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

A nice place to go on a hot day as a break from touring around Taormina. A fine pebbled beach which is well protected from winds so it is ideal for sunbathing. For the more adventurous, there are some rocky cliffs which can provide an added thrill if jumping is your style.

A few tips:
1) All of the lounge chairs are rented for a fee of 7.50 euros and up. If you don't want to pay this price, walk to the left (as you face the bay) and you will come to a small public section at the end where the diving/touring boats are beached. Set your towel out here for free!
2) If smimming/snorkeling, be mindful of the diving/touring boats coming in and out of the bay, especially if snorkeling.

“Lovely beach cove”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We took the funicular from Taormina (3 euro each way) to this little gem of a beach with crystal clear and clean blue green water, reasonable prices (20 euro for 2 beds, an umbrella and showers), and excellent restaurants. Eat at La Pigna overlooking the water for fabulous seafood at reasonable prices. The beach isn't too crowded and is very relaxing with beautiful views. It's not a sandy beach, but rather pebbles and larger rocks in the water and it helps to have water shoes if you want to go in the water, otherwise it's a bit uncomfortable. You can take boat rides around Isola bella and the other coves. Can't wait to return!

“Get a Break from the Crowds”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Take the funicular from Taormina to escape the wall to wall tourists and have a waterside break. The beaches are picturesque but small and the sunbeds are pricey, but you can take a boat ride or have a reasonably priced meal at one of the restaurants looking out over the bay.
