“Beautiful Hotel with Incredible Views.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Perfect location in heart of Taormina close to all areas of interest and we had a reserved parking space right outside hotel. I strongly recommend that you splash out for at least one night and get yourself a sea/volcano view (ask for both!). I have stayed in many beautiful locations but none with a view like this! Etna and the sea visible every time you wake up...wonderful! Our room was large and full of character and beautiful furniture(we were on 4th floor). the breakfast was fantastic and there was alot of choice and if you do miss out on a room with a view be reassured you'll still get to experience it at breakfast as the terrace restaurant has a spectacular view of the sea and Etna! Staff were lovely and helpful. I felt very sad to leave!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea/volcano view!

We enjoyed a few days at the Paradiso in early October and were very pleased with our selection. Our room was lovely and provided a balcony with a breathtaking view of the bay and Mt. Etna. We enjoyed a fine dinner there one night while taking in the great view from their restaurant on the top floor. Couldn't get enough of that view! Staff couldn't be more helpful, whether it was with finding a time for Sunday Mass or providing a safe deposit box for our valuables (no safe in the room). We opted to leave our car at Lumbi Parking Garage which is the first one you pass after exiting the highway. They have a free shuttle up to Taormina. This ended up working out perfectly, as you don't need your car in town anyway.
From the Paradiso, a five minute walk takes you to Corso Umberto, which is lined with shops, restaurants, etc. It's a terrific place to wander and enjoy shopping and people watching. We also took advantage of the Villa's free shuttle to Club Paradiso by the sea. Great beach club. Nice place to relax and unwind following a hectic 10-day sightseeing schedule!

Nice family run hotel with outstanding views of Etna and the Bay especially from the restaurant on the top floor. Lovely breakfasts with lots of fresh fruit, juices, croissants etc. Good location for restaurants, patisseries and cafesin the town. Rooms not huge but have all the amenities necessary for a very comfortable stay, and everything was very clean . Nice comfy bed too. Had a few problems with the lighting-it was a bit temperamental but otherwise no problems. Would stay there again. The beach club is lovely too-nice salt water pool and good restaurant and gorgeous gardens when you need to get out of the sun

Room Tip: Choose a room on the fifth floor for fabulous views- they are little sun traps.

Stayed at the Paradiso for a week in September. What a great little place- perfectly sited overlooking the bay (our room also overlooked the tennis courts and botanical gardens. I like to think Gill's time on the balcony was spent admiring the gardens...)
Great views from the top-floor balcony restaurant. Breakfast was good with ample selections of breads, cheeses, meat, cereals, yoghurts and fruit. Didn't have an evening meal there as so many good local restaurants of course. Rooms were small but spotless, bathroom excellent. Air-con was a little feeble. Top marks to the staff though- incredibly helpful with local advice, printing train/bus timetables for us etc etc; can't praise them enough- well done. Free shuttle-bus to local beach and free use of facilities once there (outdoor pool set in leafy gardens, brollies and recliners on the beach etc). Nice stretch of beach too, and lots of fish in the sea, so to speak. All-in-all, had a great time there. Thank you.

The location of this hotel in the heart of Taormina and its associated beach club make this hotel well worth considering. The hotel bedrooms would be a long way from 4 star. They are dated, there were some issues with the electrics and wardrobe space is at best bijou. However the common areas are good, the staff helpful and pleasant. There is no bar or outdoor common areas which would make a nice addition following a day of sightseeing or sun bathing at the beach. The major pluses for this hotel is its central location and beach club. Most hotels in Taormina require a climb up a steep hill to get to the centre. Few hotels in this price range have pools and you will need somewhere to escape to during the day. This hotel provides a free shuttle to its beach club. The club has a bar, restaurant , changing cabins , sea water pool and free wifi. Loungers and umbrellas are provided on the beach, beside the pool and in the garden. While there is a small charge for towels, entry and sun loungers are free. You can provide your own towels. The food is good and well priced for Taormina . The facility is beautifully maintained and is what makes staying here worth it. Few hotels have facilities to rival this. If you want to go to the beach from other hotels, it requires a trip on the cable car , 6 euro return, plus up to 12 euro for two sun beds and umbrella so it clocks up quickly.

A very good hotel - comfortable and spacious room with two balconies and superbly equipped bathroom. Striking twentieth century art in our room, with more modern art and antique prints in the spacious and comfortable lounge, which made one feel more like a guest in tastefully furnished private home. The roof terrace restaurant has a breath-taking view of Etna and across the bay to Giardini naxos and beyond. The hotel adjoins beautiful civic gardens. The hotel shuttle bus takes you to a beach club which is one of the best on the coast. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed in this hotel for around 1 week. The rooms are also very basic, did not seem particularly clean and the bed was old and uncomfortable. The hotel is noisey from the tennis courts and dogs barking. The breakfast is pretty dreadful. Prepacked toasts, canned fruit that did not seem freshly opened and some croissants. I stayed in this hotel for 1 week and would have expected some assistance with liaising with the local police after some money was unfortunately stolen from me. They did not respond to my emails requesting assistance for 10 days and then simply said we can't help and to contact the consulate.
