The entire stay was wonderful. The restaurant in the hotel provides very good food and the buffet is just great.
The hotel staff, what could I say. They are the best.
The hotel Director sent a fruit basket to our room as a welcome gift and we enjoyed the variety of delicious fruits of Sicily.
I would stay at this hotel for a month and do nothing but soak up the sun.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, we had no idea where to spend the night and saw this hotel as we were driving over to Taormina. We just loved the older architecture and the view.as we walked in the staff was very nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the beach, the water is beautiful and you just dont get tired of the view...All the rooms have a sea view, ours had 2 double beds.Everything was clean and the beds comfortable...its nice to fall asleep listenong to the waves....
Breakfast was also very nice, its a buffet and you can eat outside on the terasse in the shade created by the trees.I highly recommend this place would go back!

We stayed at the Lido Mediterranee Hotel for only one night. We were hoping for a good hotel with a great location and could not have been more pleased with our choice. The hotel is a bit dated and the room decor is nothing special but each room comes with a view of the beautiful sea. The air-conditioning worked well and the private beach was fabulous. Parking is very convenient and the entire staff at the hotel go out of their way to accomodate your every need. Wifi is available for a small fee and the breakfast buffet is served on the terrace downstairs and was excellent.

The hotel is run very efficiently and there are plenty of staff members available at all times to assist you; lifeguard on the beach, bartenders a plenty (the bar stays open until midnight), several people at the front desk and many staff in the restaurant.

The hotel is not very fancy but it is very clean and very reasonably priced. It was a breath of fresh air to drink items from the mini-bar and not cry when the bill arrived.

My friend and I spent a week in this hotel and honestly can say it was the best hotel I've ever stayed before in Italy. I will not go into detail, I just completely agree with the previous review by Globezilla, thank you for your feedback and I'm with you for this hotel. The staff is really very nice, helpful, the service always was superb: at the reception, in the dining-room, on the beach. The rooms are clean and the furniture is good. I suggest booking a room with a balcony and a sea view - unforgettable impression! Every day we went to sleep and woke up with the sea waves sound, the balcony has a stunning view, and the room itself is well-furnished in beige and lillac colours - good taste! The hotel has spacious halls, corridors and an amaziing terrace where the breakfast is served. We spent a wonderful holiday. So, if you wish to relax and enjoy your vacation after hard working days during the year - I will certainly recommend this hotel!

From our check in we were treated so well at this Hotel. We had rang in advance and asked for an upgrade but were given a better upgrade on arrival for the same money which really made our holiday. We had a wonderful balcony the view from this was totally amazing. The Hotel rooms all have really good sea views. All the staff were so lovely. The Hotel is really clean.Reception can provide a safe free of charge.

Yes the other reviews here are correct in saying this hotel is an older style hotel, which is out from the town, it costs €15 by taxi or €3 by cable car after taking a walk on a really busy road. Yes the bathrooms are older in style and you need to be careful with the water in the shower as it can spray on to the floor if you are not careful to secure the curtain and put down the bath mats provided. Having said that I loved its location, the sound of the sea, so relaxing, we went to sleep with the sound of the waves and awoke so refreshed to them also.

Breakfast has juice, fruit, yogurts, cereals, sweet treats, (Croissants tarts etc) hot food ( Scrambled Egg, Rasher, sausage) Good Coffee. Also Liptons tea served with lemon or milk if you ask. Nice Bread rolls. I would have liked toast and some more fresh fruit, the only fresh fruit I got was melon. But having said that we really enjoyed our breakfast served out on the wonderful balcony. It really was superbe. We had two meals at the hotel in the evening. Both meals really good. Fairly priced. Views again amazing. Service great. You get lovely linen table cloths, wine well chilled ( we tried the Corvo well priced at €9 half bottle. All in all I was so happy at this hotel. I felt I got great value for money. We had a weekly rate on b&b. I went there in need of a rest and came back so relaxed. There is two bars near the hotel serving food, we tried La Caravella at lunch time, its on your right if you face the sea when going down to the beach, Good food and ok prices. There is another further up the beach but we did not try this. Tip: Bring some Beach shoes as the sand is gritty. On the beach, when you give your room no. the life guard provides you with free Beach Loungers, Umbrellas and towels. NIce, as these can be charged in other european resorts. There are outdoor showers on the way up to the hotel. A few steps also. Take the little boat trip which pulls in on the beach well worth the €15. We got the bus from the Airport for €7.50 and then a taxi from Taormina to this hotel €20 for four people inc bags. On our return home we paid €115 to go back to the airport( its cheaper to get reception to order the taxi to the airport) They also arrange trips to Etna etc. We enjoyed our experience at this hotel. We never had a problem.

Room Tip: If you can get a balcony it will make your holiday. We spent so much time out on ours. The views o...

Difficult to be fair here because the staff are really very good; from reception, head waiter... However the hotel is tired and in need of a makeover.

Room Tip: All the rooms we looked at were a let down. Collapsable beds let into old frames, small bathrooms a...

Although the hotel seems to be from the 70's, it is superb! The furniture seems to be a bit old fashioned but it's perfectly in order and it fits to the Sicilian style. The room is spacy (the shower might be a bit larger) and everything is kept very clean without any malfunctions. The first priority of the personnel is service; no compromises. They are very, very friendly and want to help you in any way. The view on the beach is without competition; the sound of the waves are a guarantee for a good night sleep. The diner is the "French way"; not quite what we expected; we would have preferred the Sicilian menu (if you prefer the real Sicilian menu you should go next door to Dominic's "Cavallero"). The breakfast however is very good and in combination with the ambiance on the terras you will have a wonderful holiday experience. Last but not least don't forget the service on the beach: your relax bed on the beach with free towel is prepared for you before you know it!
