What a nice place, easy to get to right off the tram on the right side. The owner Tony could not have been more charming! The staff spoke English and the terrace was very inviting. The pasta Norma was great the veal roll ups ( incontino) were very tender yet crip on the outside. The insalate and the insalate ( seafood) a mare were delicious too. Would highly recommend !

We were a little unsure of this place however, as soon as we got there the staff were lovely. They even brought out a table for us to watch the tv outside as the soccer finals were on. Service was pretty good considering the finals were live but once the food came out it was even better. So yummy, try the huse specialty and don't forget to try the almond drink very yummy, sweet but not too sweet.

The title says it all.....try it. Lovely place. We were leaving and wanted to buy some sparkling water. The charming owner said 'please take it, waters free!!' Warm memories of a lovely evening.

On our first night in Taormina, we were warmly welcomed into the restaurant by the friendly and charismatic owner. We sat at a table outside on the terrace(be careful of mosquitoes if there is no wind). The food was excellent and gave us a good idea of typical Sicilian cuisine. Try the mixed shellfish with linguini-and the fresh seafood of the day.

Rosaria at Hotel Villa Ducale recommended this restaurant to us – we asked her to direct us to places that served quality Sicilian food at not over the top prices (can happen in Taormina). This was the first one that came to her mind so we made a point of going and ever so glad we did.

We had neglected to book, but fortunately for us we were early and the charming owner, Tony, who met us at the door, swiftly directed us to a table on the terrace outside. A warm, balmy evening, it was just the right spot.

Tony was attentive, personable, quick to pick up on our accents (Australian) and before we had even got around to deciding what to eat, discovered he had spent some time in our country, running restaurants in Victoria, country Victoria and Queensland – maybe a Sydney one was there too – can’t recall – before he returned to his Sicilian roots.

My husband was keen to again try octopus, having enjoyed this dish in Milan and Rome where we had been prior. Methods of cooking were discussed and he ran with Tony’s suggestion of having it grilled. Best he had tasted was the judgement – presentation matched.

The wine to accompany the dish, chosen by Tony, was equally as good as was the dessert to follow – a selection of flavoursome ice creams which we shared.

All in all, a great little eatery, good food, wine and service at reasonable prices and definitely worth a visit. Thanks Tony from the Roman Senator and his wife.
