“great stores”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

I loved the variety of stores on Corso Umberto, the main shopping street in Taormina....you can buy everything from fine quality Italian shoes (of course!) to souvenirs and calendars. There's something for everyone on Corso Umberto.

“Everything Happens Here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

This is the street to see and be seen. Whether walking along enjoying a gelato, sitting in one of the cafes or bars, browsing in the delightfully stylish shops, listening to the music of street musicians or watching a bride arrive for her wedding, everything revolves around the Corso Umberto. We also joined other couples dancing in the square beside the Wunderbar, just stumbled upon people dancing to the band playing in the bar and it was delightful. Atmospheric and exciting, I wish my high street at home was like this!

“A Wonderful Sicilian Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

We visited here on a Saturday. The only way we knew it was a Saturday is because of all the weddings. This town is gorgeous and with all the brides walking around we thought we had went back in time. A couple of times we walked down a side alley and were amazed and what we found. Once such jaunt ended us up at one of the best restaurants of our trip. Spend as much time here as you can.

“Taormina's main street”

A long street of shops with many side alleys and pleasant bars and restaurants. Those in the side streets are equally good and generally cheaper.

“nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

we liked the nice atmosphere and took often our aperitivo on one of the terraces. Almost every day there was a wedding in one of the churches.
