Beautiful boutiques, wonderful "pasticcerie", very nice artisan shops...if you want to spend money which worths, go there! In addition to that all the shop staff are very very kind and polite

Charming street filled with a mix of mid-couture stores and souvenir-packed shops. The volume of Godfather-themed merchandise rivals that of merchandise truly representative of the region (like terracotta lemons).

Great to sit somewhere & watch the people go by if you enjoy that or if you like high class shopping but very busy.

What a lovely place to spend your evenings. Loads of resteraunts, bars and classy shops. Great place for people watching and admiring the many wedding parties parading up & down!

Hey,

This is the main walking (no cars) street with restaurants, shops (cloths, souvenirs, jewelery and other), icecream shops and many other.
If you walk the whole street from Porta Catania to the end, you will see 80 % of Taormina. Then you will only need to "get off" Corso Umberto for Teatro Greco, Giardini Publico or Isola Bella.
This is a very expensive street, but we found what to buy and where to eat, although pricy.
In the case you will visit other parts/ towns of Sicily, I suggest you to buy your souvernirs from there, they are much cheaper; or I bought them from Taormina, but not Corso Umberto, there are some shops at the entrance in Taormina towards the bus station.
At the middle of the street, you have the nicest piazza I could see with spectacular views over the sea and vulcano.
Enjoy! It's worth it! ;)
