“Pretty church with a long history”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We visited Santa Caterina for a concert given by a Flute orchestra from CAtania and the church was absolutely packed - partly I think because it was a very wet evening! Just before the programme began, the presenter gave the audieace a really full and interesting history of the church in English as well as Italian. This was much appreciated. This is a pretty church ... not on a par with cathedrals in Florence or Siena but very Italian and a good setting for a lovely concert.

“A tiny church but definitely worth a visit.”
Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

Walking along Corso Umberto in the direction of the Greek Roman Theatre is this last church in order of arrangement. I personally visited it in the evening and I can admit that it is very delicious and pleasant place to visit, not big in fact its interior is small and consists of a small central nave flanked by small wooden benches. The feature that distinguishes this from other church in Taormina is the presence within it of a ruin of an ancient Roman wall, placed on the ground on the right side of the church, it is visible but often protected by a glass.

“Fine mediaeval church”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

This is a good place to shelter from the summer heat. Many will gather on the steps of the fountain outside to watch a wedding party emerge.

“Simple place, just a casual visit if you pass through Corso Umberto”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Not that much to see, shall not be a main destination. If you go through Corso Umberto, it is a good idea to stop by

“a little church”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

An old small church and not too presumptous but beautiful. Located right in the main plaza of this tourist town since the 17th century.
