Just returned from a 3 night stay here with 3 friends. The fact that I have already booked to stay here again next year says it all. It's small but quirky, charming and located right in the heart of a super little town. Our room was large, quiet and had a little patio outside - and the beds were comfortable. No hotel could be better situated for sightseeing and the staff were always charming and helpful, from the ladies serving our breakfast (which was lovely - unless you're the sort of traveller who has to have a fry up no matter where) as well as keeping our rooms spotlessly clean, to the guys on reception. Special thanks must go to Luigi for phoning our driver to check times and where we would be picked up during a sudden torrential downpour. There were a couple of minor blips with the safe and a light in one of the rooms but everything was handled with a smile. I look forward to returning!

Room tip: We were on the 3rd floor, which was quiet; not sure what it would be like facing onto the street.

There are posher hotels in Taormina but you won't find a better placed hotel than the Victoria.
It's small, it's historic, it's in the heart of town, it's a wee bit quirky and we loved it for all those reasons.
The small staff team were all great and Luigi was really helpful to us.
Our good sized room was tucked away at the back on the third floor with its own balcony and very quiet. The fridge was a bonus.
We also loved the large lounge area and balcony right next to us with its charmingly out of tune piano.
Best of all was the position. Yes you will have to pull your cases through the pedestrianised street a short way, but my, its well worth it.

We arrived late evening after landing at Catania airport. We had clear instructions from the Hotel about parking at Lumbi (€10 a day) and using the free shuttle bus to the Pedestrian area with a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Our room was most comfortable and with a view over the roof tops to the sea as well as the Corso Umberto below. We particularly liked the roof terrace where we enjoyed some lunch time picnics as well as the excellent breakfasts. The staff at reception, in the breakfast room and room cleaning were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Centrally located we enjoyed our 3 days walking everywhere from the hotel. A delightful place to stay and explore Taormina in the centre of everything. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Room tip: Rooms overlooking the street and the higher floors have a better view but no window balcony

A great little hotel right in the middle of Corso Umberto - the best place to stay in Taormina. Walking distance to everywhere and a good base to explore surrounding area. The staff/owners are very nice too.

Great hotel in the center of Taormina's main street. Staffed is friendly and on call 24 hours a day. The rooms are large enough and very clean, plus the breakfast is very good with plenty to choose from. We picked this hotel on price and location. Why would you want to climb up and down steps in Taormina to get to the town when you can be in the middle of the action at a affordable price. Try to book a room with a balcony facing the street. Sit with a glass of wine and watch the people walking the street.

Room tip: room with a balcony
