Really spectacular theatre with unbelievable views. Really worth taking a short walk from the centre of Taormina to see it. I believe they also do performances there of Opera etc

This is a superb site and an excellent example of a Greek Theatre. We took the audio tour which was a helpful complement to the tour. The grounds are looked after well and the sight of the theatre against the backdrop of the mountains and sea is superb. Give yourself plenty of time just to meander and enjoy.

We visited the Ancient Theatre on a beautiful sunny day and there were amazing clear views looking out to sea and surrounding areas. It is an amazing place and well worth a visit just for the views themselves.

I went early to avoid the tour groups. Amazing to wander around this historical site. Set in grounds with incredible views across Taormina and to Mt Etna.
The videos at the end worth watching.
Definitely worth the visit.

This is one of the most beautiful spots in Sicily. There are still shows performed at this site, and I would LOVE to attend one. It must be amazing. Highly recommend!

Recently hiked up to the top of the Ancient Theatre. Amazing to think that concerts are still held there today. Well preserved and perched on a hill so there is an incredible view.

10 euros to enter. Lovely views from this ruin. Still in good shape, worth seeing. In all allow about an hour to walk around and take pictures.

We tried to visit here a few times but it was closed on 2 occasions so check the opening times before you visit Taormina. We finally made it and was well worth the visit. I would advise you to go early in the morning as it gets very hot there and there are a lot of steps to contend with. Definitely unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties. It is an amazing amphitheatre with amazing views and great to see it still in use today for concerts although we did not manage to secure tickets for a concert when we visited in July. If you are visiting, I would advise you to look up the concerts before you get to Taormina and book online.

If you are visiting Taormina this is definetly wortha visit. The lines start forming from about 11.00 onwards and there is little cover. Beautiful views out towars Mount Etna and still in good condition. Would have loved to have seen the Pink Floyd tribut band here bet it was magical.

Situated pretty much in the centre of taormina, the ruins of the greek ( or possibly roman) theatre are eye-popping. Would be an amazing place to see an opera or play
