“Fair food and service”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

My wife and I were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel. Service was slow and the food was under-cooked. Not good value for the money

“Nice Unhurried Romantic Dinner”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

The service was not lightning quick....but I don't look for that in Italy. We arrived without reservations toward the end of dinner service and never felt rushed. Caponada was fabaulous as was salad with rugola. I had veal marsala (why not, after all Marsala is from the west coast of Sicily). My lovely lady had swordfish. Both were very good. Combined with a nice bottle of Nero D'avola the meal was splendid. Restaurant came recommeded and was deserving the recommendation.

“Slow service but good food.”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Took an age to be served - was probably best part of half an hour from sitting down before our drinks order was taken, but it got better from then on...

Good quality food - highlights included, my partner's fresh sea bass, I had some wonderful gnocchi and the desserts were pretty good too.

Wine selection good at average costs.

Would eat there again.

“Flapping note pad”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

The garden setting is very pleasant although the music is rather intrusive. I had an alright salad to begin and as a maincouse a delicious pasta dish of fish, tomato and courgette. The meal was absolutely satisfactory. The most offputting aspect of the whole meal therefore was the waiter taking our order. He was evidently less than interested in his job and as he reeled off the 'special' he flapped his notepad against his other hand in an attitude of intense boredom. It made us feel as though we were in a tourist trap, rather than a restaurant where the staff genuinely cares (or at least appears to).
