“A pearl in taormina”

Few good words for this modern hotel in the center of taormina:perfect!!!
Perfect location, value for money, modern furnishing, stunning rooftop view with sunbeds and sunshades.
I do def reccomend it to enjoy the town and relax mixing modern and ancient.

The situation is top, the swimming pool on the really classy roof with a magnificent view on Taormine
The services are at the level of the price : correct and the very complete breakfast.
To have breakfast in the garden is really very pleasant.

This is a very PRETTY hotel, but its appearance and location are the only good aspects. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of Taormina, moments away from restaurants and beautiful views. The hotel is nicely done and the roof top pool has a good view. However, there aren't any umbrella's around the pool, so if like me, you do not enjoy direct sunshine ALL day, and perhaps don't tan as well as native italians, there is no shade for you- it was extremely hot during the time we were there and this was very uncomfortable for me. There are 4 cabanas, photo's of which you can see here, but unless you are up before 7am to reserve these with your towels, there really isn't anywhere comfortable for you to lay around the pool. We did manage to get a cabana but after popping across the road for a pizza at lunch, which took all of half an hour, somebody had moved our stuff and sat themselves in the cabana - the staff did not care about this.

The pool is tiny - if four people were to get in it, it would be full!

The staff were rude, and very short with us throughout our stay, we wondered if this was due to a language barrier, but every other person we spoke to, taxi drivers, waitresses and even other hotel staff were so polite and helpful, they put il Piccolo Giardino staff to shame. We weren't told not to dry our towels on our balcony, so when we did, we received an extremely rude phone call from reception ordering us to take them down, and they called us back rudely after we did not take them down immediately.

Also we wanted to watch the last 20 minutes of the formula one race on the TV, but were ordered out of our room by reception for the maids to clean it, they show no regard for customer service and every thing is too much for them - no smile, no welcome.

Don't expect to get a drink at the hotel if it is not friday or saturday (they have a bar open on these days) they point blank refuse to provide drinks, even though we would have been happy to pay a charge to have drinks in our room, they refused. You could die of thirst and they would not care.

The elevator was out of use twice during our week long stay, and the pool was out of action for one of the days. Our shower was also useless, the few times it was hot enough to have a decent shower, it flooded! Once soaking our entire room floor, the hotel staff just gave us some extra towels to dry it with, put some chemicals down the plug and ordered us to sit on the balcony for ten minutes. My request for another room was rejected.

Our room was small but decent, and the air conditioning worked well.

We tried the sushi which they have in the hotel restaurant on fridays and saturdays - not only was it ridiculously overpriced- it was WARM - enough said.

The only thing going for this hotel is its location - if you don't mind being treated like a second class citizen, going elsewhere each time you want a drink and burning your skin at the roof top pool, this hotel is perfect for you!

Try Hotel Imperiale across the road, its was lovely!

We felt the hotel was a bargain for such a great location, but didn't realise that by spending a bit more we could have secured a much better room with a view. We landed up in a basement room with only a view of the cars wheels on the road outside. Most of the staff were very helpful on the whole. Taormina is very expensive by comparison with the rest of the Island. Be prepared.

Room Tip: Make sure you pay the extra for a decent room with a view.

I just stayed two nights at the "Il piccolo giardino". Unfortunately the hotel did not meet my expectations. On the good side the hotel is very modern and the location is great. On the bad side you have to walk about 10 min to get to the car park, the pool is extremely tiny (only 1 mt. depth) and the breakfast serving starts at 08:00 (which is a bit late for me). I will probably stay at another hotel next time I go to Taormina.

Lovely hotel and the pool area is amazing!perfect location right in the centre of town, all restaurants, shops, bars etc are within 5minutes walk.rooms are quite basic with little storage space, but this is only a minor thing.reception staff were always polite, friendly and happy to help.hope to return very soon!

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a superior room, and from what we saw,the standard rooms did look to be a bit on...

We only had 2 days (1 night) to stay in Taormina. Chose this hotel after a recommendation from the tripadvisor forum. Room was small (as common in Europe), but was clean and modern. Location was great for people that would like to be close to the town! The sundeck is nice, but the pool is extremely tiny-- so if it is the summer- and you want to enjoy the beach- you may choose a hotel on the beach. But for us, the location was perfect. I wish we had stayed longer!
