Great place to stay, really friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. Great pools. Too cold to use the outdoor pool in April but the indoor pool was fantastic. The playroom is also a great asset. We had selected the half board option and the food was delicious.

Thank you for the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had. We’ve just returned from a weeks holiday and have all loved it. Even 2 teenagers who are hard to please. The room, the service, the staff, the facilities( especially the Spa) were fantastic.

I had read the reviews but did not quite believe that a hotel could be this great! The service was absolutely top notch,. the waiters, Eleanor, Eugenio, Michele, Sebastiano and the entire waiting staff were so accommodating, it was if we had stepped into their home, their attention to detail and welcome was just beyond words!!!! Reception staff - Guiseppe and another lovely lady, could not do enough to please us as a family and were always smiling and accommodating, just wonderful, fantastico!!

There is a incredibly equipped games room should you have little ones, with a Wii, table tennis, bouncy pool, rock climbing area (for toddlers) and FREE babysitting - never heard of this before. Our kids are slighly older now but we would have loved to have utilised this more had we come years ago.

The SPA was absolutely blissful, swimming pool was so peaceful and gorgeous, we had a few massages which were lovely. The 3 hour SPA experience for 25 euro each was great to do on the day of arrival as an immediate relaxer.

On the other sunny days we all relaxed by the pool outside, which was beautifully maintained...there were massive comfy cushions and waiter service should you wish...

The rooms were beautifully cleaned, quiet and well maintained.

We all particularly LOVED the sumptous breakfasts, where we were welcomed by the staff who remembered our egg orders and my daughter's daily request for crepes with nutella. There were freshly squeezed juices, even a juicer, freshly prepared cakes (even chocolate cake), speciality dishes and cereals, meats and cheeses.

The shuttle bus was punctual and brilliant, giving us a lift into Ortiga and back again daily, so that we did not have to spend extra on cabs, we thought that this was a brilliant addendum.

Once again...can't believe what a great place this hotel was, as a SPA retreat, as a quiet place to reconnect as a family, as a base to explore the surrounding area and Ortiga and Syracuse.

We are looking to book another trip to this wonderful hotel, with its beautiful surroundings and incredible staff!! As a family we travel on a regular basis and have all agreed that this is definitely one of, if not, THE best all round hotel experience we have EVER had in our lives. Book and enjoy. Best time to go would be April, June or September (to avoid the crowds and heat) but either way this hotel is a must for a few days or a week of total relaxation, sight seeing and charm!!

Aside from a couple of drawbacks---previously mentioned, the Principe was perfect!! The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was incredible, the service was very attentive especially from Elena in the dinning room. The grounds are beautiful. The only drawbacks were that the spa is only open for a few hours a day and they are NOT accommodating. And that you have to be a little careful when booking that they don't put you across the street which is awful! There were flies in the room and in the hallway, the place was depressing. They eventually helped us out and put us on the property that we meant to be in and we loved every minute!!!

Dear Guest we are really happy that You have had a good stay.
I just Want to put to your attention some things that will allow other travellers to make a conscious choice.
You had booked a room in the historical Villa 4 stars and what you called awful was defined by other guests "Exceptional, Wonderful, Superlative, Blissful!!!"
Of Course the Villa of Charm and the Wellness are two types of completely different hotels, the Villa is suitable for those who love the privacy and the spaces collected.
Between 4 and 5 stars There is a price difference dictated by the category of the hotel and the services included in the rate, in fact as You requested you have passed in the 5 star part paying a surcharge.
About the Spa we open 4 hours a day the Spa Plemmirio, but you can book the Private Spa at any time of day.
I Also want to point out that it is absolutely true that the SPA has rigid schedules this because at 7.45 pm the disinfection begins and for us it is very important that this happens.
We Thank you very much for being our guests.

Great hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is superb. They make eggs and bacon to order and the cold buffet is varied and of high standard. They have a juicer so you can design your own juice.

Spa is amazing. Huge heated indoor pool and plenty of treatment areas. when you use the spa, they will mind your children in a huge kids area packed with games and toys.

Fast WiFi and nice to have Netflix on the hotel room tv.

I would definitely return, possibly in a hotter time of year so I could make more use of the outdoor pools. I would recommend staying in the 5 star part of the hotel as the rooms and grounds are much nicer but you can use the same facilities whichever side you stay.
