“OK but lacking atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014

This restaurant was ok, but it lacked atmosphere even though there were quite a few diners.
The food was enjoyable enough but slightly pricy compared to equivalent food we've had elsewhere in Sicily.

“Wonderful meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2014

We made reservations based on previous reviews that this was the restaurant that the local Italians patronized. The food was excellent and a step above the usual pasta fare of Siracusa. Yes the orange and fennel salad was as good as reported in other reviews but the tuna, swordfish and steak dishes were outstanding. The wine list was reasonable and good. Dessert excellent. The atmosphere very Italian: the service is a little slow albeit friendly and helpful, but if you're making a evening of it, nothing to worry about. Do reserve ahead.

“Not as good as I hoped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

My husband wanted pizza and I wanted fish so, according to the wonderful reviews this restaurant gets on TripAdvisor, it should have been perfect. We ate here at the end of March and that might be why they only were making pizza on the weekends. My husband started with a tasty salad. Mine had "marinated" prawns which were totally tasteless. We each had pasta with clams which were relatively expensive at 16 euros per dish but we wouldn't have minded if the pasta had been more flavorful. We did not have dessert here.

“A great night!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013 via mobile

Was referred here by an already full restaurants owner, and we were thrilled with the experience. Sea bass, linguine and clams, and the pizza were all outstanding. We had a party of 10 which included a four and nine year old. They sat us upstairs and the service was impeccable. If you get the chance, eat here!!!!

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

This restaurant was down a narrow street near the Piazza del Duomo and was recommended by the manager of our B&B. It was one of the best meals that we had in Sicily. I had spaghetti with sea urchin and clams which was excellent and grilled tuna with tumeric and poppyseed over crispy onions. It was the best tuna that I ever had! My wife had a grilled swordfish, an orange and fennel salad, and rosemary potatoes. We were too full for dessert but from what I saw coming out of the kitchen, they were probably great too! We had a carafe of house wine and the bill came to less than 60 euro. The service was friendly and courteous and the atmosphere was great.
