We made reservations based on previous reviews that this was the restaurant that the local Italians patronized. The food was excellent and a step above the usual pasta fare of Siracusa. Yes the orange and fennel salad was as good as reported in other reviews but the tuna, swordfish and steak dishes were outstanding. The wine list was reasonable and good. Dessert excellent. The atmosphere very Italian: the service is a little slow albeit friendly and helpful, but if you're making a evening of it, nothing to worry about. Do reserve ahead.
