“Great local seafood spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

The location looks a bit dim, but the food makes up for it. Basic, fresh, and delicious. I loved the octopus and the sea urchin pasta. Huge portions, good wine and service as well.

“Mouthwatering”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

After many years of frequent travelling to Siracusa, we were recommended this restaurant two years ago and since then we practically only dine at Red Moon. The food is fresh, delicious and genuine and this is confirmed because we have tried most of the food on the menu, although our all time favorites are the "polipo" and "spaghetti ai ricci" and not once were we disappointed. Manuel is a good host and his friendly manner makes it a very nice and enjoyable dining experience. The location makes it easy to park and also to enjoy a stroll before or after dinner. The restaurant is frequented by locals and it is important to book in advance. Very good value for money.

“Stunning seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

We perused the menu outside and nearly left because it was so small, but decided that this probably meant what they did do they did really well, and we were right. We started off with the mixed fried fish, which turned out to be seafood rather than fish, melt in the mouth calamari (how do they do that?) tiny baby squid, anchovies and small wild prawns with paper thin crispy shells that you could just pop into your mouth whole. The dish was excellent, dry batter on the seafood with a hunk of lemon on the side, one of the best fried seafood dishes we have ever had. We followed this with a dish of spagetti in seafood sauce which again was fantastic, spagetti in a light sauce with mussels and clams. There was no wine list here but our waiter recommended a Sicilian white wine called Corvo which paired amazingly with the seafood. It has been one of the best meals we have had so far in Syracuse and one of the cheapest too.

“Fantastic seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

First, the location that comes up with the address is incorrect. as one faces the harbor, go to the left and you'll see a "cabana" (tent-like structure). That is Red Moon which is technically called "Pub Red Moon Di Costanzo Cristina"

Don't let the structure put you off. Here you'll find some of the best seafood you'll ever have. Spaghetti con ricci, zuppe vongole, pesce grigliata, polipo...

We were told about the place by an Italian co-worker who asked a friend from Siracusa - when we got there for lunch it was all locals having a great meal as did we.

Looking for Red Moon, we asked a gentleman where it was as the location in Tripadvisor was off. He told us where it was and we asked if it had good seafood. His reply was "Ottima" - heartily agree.

“Very good!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

You must visit this Restaurant.
First of all you need to book with few days in advance because it is always full!

After that just be sure to keep your whole evening free because the service is slow and because after dinner you will not be able to move for all the food eaten!

Here the seafood is marvellous. Try the pasta with sea hurchin, it is their special meal and it is AWESOME!

Also the rest of the food is very nice.
